When I got this game it didn't work at all, now it starts but just goes white when I try to play it :(

It's worth it for the full 3D cockpit instruments and ridiculously improved damage model
Damage model didn't feel improved for me when I tried it. In fact, it felt as though all the planes are now flying tanks which require a massive amount of bullets to down them.
As in real life.
The average Japanese zero (whose armor was practically rice paper) took 1200 rounds before being shot down.

Waited for ArmA 2 to come down in price when it first came out.
Come October 2010 Steam gave the game a big discount and I seized the opportunity.
Yeah, I can wait. And by the time I do buy even more patches and updates will be already out by then.
