Expect this thread to continue to receive updates periodically as new information surfaces, and as I decide to add more content. Code Lyoko is now available for watching on Netflix! Also, the actors of Evolution have been revealed! See Update 3.

Since the old thread is by a banned user who probably won't be updating his OP, I decided to create a newer, more content-packed thread.
Intro
Code Lyoko is the story of 5 French students who discover a quantum supercomputer built for a military research project and combat the evils that lie within its capabilities. The creation of Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo, it aired for 95 episodes over 4 seasons, not including the 2-episode prequel created between Season 2 and Season 3. A 5th season and reboot of the series, called Evolution, is currently in production and will be shown towards the beginning of 2013.
Plot (spoilers!)
Pre-prequel: It's 1994. Waldo Schaeffer has worked on (and possibly lead) the French military's Project Carthage (a "communication disruption" tool) for 20 years, but now he wants it destroyed. Increasingly paranoid that the government is looking for him, he builds the supercomputer and gives it extraordinary control over the real world, including the ability travel back in time, up to about a day. By repeating the same day over 2,500 times (almost 7 years), develops Lyoko and within, XANA, to eliminate Project Carthage. When "the men in black" (government agents) arrive at his home, after previously abducting his wife in a previous life, he takes Aelita and escapes to Lyoko. However, XANA's behavior goes awry, and it confuses Waldo, Aelita, and humanity with its true target. Waldo is forced to shut down the computer from within, to isolate the threat from the world, trapping himself and Aelita in the process.
Prequel: While exploring campus before a new year of classes, Jeremie comes across an old deserted car factory, but within, discovers a quantum supercomputer, and boots it up to investigate. He's greeted by a friendly (but confused) face, and deems her an AI interface software, giving her the name Maya for now. With his encouragement, she stumbles into Lyoko, only to be attacked and pushed back into the tower from which she came. Anomalies begin to occur in the real world, and after gathering Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi, Jeremie sends them to Lyoko with scanners attached to the supercomputer, where they join Aelita and try to stop the attacks. They eventually learn the source of aggression is XANA, and that Maya's name is actually Aelita.
Season 1: After uncovering Aelita and XANA, Jeremie begins to spend the first season trying to bring Aelita back to the physical world so he can shut down the supercomputer (trapping XANA inside) with the two bonding closely as he progresses his work towards that goal. While most of the episodes are not connected, he eventually materializes her by the season finale. Unfortunately, XANA appears to have linked Aelita to the supercomputer, even in human form, in such a way that shutting down the computer causes Aelita to lose consciousness, so shutting it down remains impossible until Jeremy can break the connection.
Season 2: After spending a decade trapped in the supercomputer before being rescued by Jeremie, Aelita re-adjusts to reality as the group fends off attacks, while Jeremie tries to figure out how to unlink her to be able to shut down the supercomputer. He learns about someone named Franz Hopper who seems connected to Lyoko, the computer, and XANA, and who may still be trapped inside, so the team looks to free Franz as well before the shutdown. Near the end, Franz is discovered to be the father of not only all things Lyoko, but of Aelita as well. However, things are going too slowly, and XANA gets a lucky streak, allowing him to escape the supercomputer and into the internet. His escape does, however, result in Aelita becoming unlinked from the computer herself.
Season 3: Since Aelita is now fully human, it is discovered she devirtualizes normally from Lyoko when killed. William, a new student from season 2, joins the group due to the increased need for assistance. He tries to help, but eventually becomes possessed by XANA and is used as a weapon against the team, who struggle to figure out how to stop XANA at this point. XANA begins deleting the sectors one by one, and eventually succeeds in wiping out all of Lyoko. However, Jeremie later receives a message directly from Franz, who apparently survived.
Season 4: Using data from Franz, Jeremie and Aelita start to rebuild Lyoko. XANA is found to be building supercomputers hosting Lyoko replicas around the world to be able to mount a global war. The group eventually manages to free William, and Jeremy finishes a program to destroy XANA, but at the last moment, Franz [sp]sacrifices himself[/sp] to allow the program to complete and remove XANA.
Season 5, Evolution
While the first 4 seasons originally ran from 2003 to 2007, season 5, a reboot named Evolution, is currently under production and will air in 2013. Unlike the original, Evolution's real-life scenes will be recorded in live action and digitally mastered instead of using Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo's original animated characters. Update: See the bottom of the "media" section for Evolution content. An additional main character (the blonde girl (update: her name is Laura)) has been confirmed for Evolution, though her role remains unknown.

Updates 2 and 3: All main actors have been revealed!

The team at codelyoko.fr have released the identities of all the actors of the primary characters. I'm also shrinking some of the other earlier images from previous updates to try to keep the thread length down. All images are hosted on a Google profile, so you can still view them at maximum resolution by opening the image in a new tab and replacing the "[s/h]####" with "s0" in the URL, right in front of the filename. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Aelita's headband seen in the earlier videos is not part of her final outfit.

I can't wait for the new episodes. I however don't like that they are doing live action now.
For starters, I'm surprised that this is getting a fifth season. I also believe the kind of comedy the show has won't be executed as well in the live action medium.
oh god really
I haven't watched this since I was like, 13. If I remembered correctly I got dreadfully bored during the second season and just didn't bother watching anything else

You should've finished it, things get pretty heated by the end of S2. I'm pretty sure you can find every episode on Youtube by now in various qualities, although some are region-locked.
As much as I'm not much of a fan of the whole live action idea, it seems like they're trying pretty hard to stay true to the original seasons, since after all, they said the only reason they're bringing it back was due to large demand from fans. I'm reserving judgement until I see the final product.
meh..
I don't think I could get back into it even if I wanted to.

Just watch it, it gets awesome close to the end.

If anything, at least watch the last episode of season 2, #52 "The Key." It's probably one of the richest episodes in the series, in terms of plot/reveals.
Updated the OP with all the leaked information I've found so far. Expect this thread to continue to receive updates periodically as new information surfaces, and as I decide to add more content.
Updated again to include the known Evolution actors and their photos! I'll add Jeremy and Odd once the community finds them.

Damn automerge
Oh man, I used to watch this show all the time. Though it appears I cannot recall anything past Season 2. Still, it will be interesting to see how they handle live action.
Must be since i havent watched it in a while or have their voices always been that retarded?

No, it's always been that way.
Even as a kid I thought this show was stupid. It was just disguised with trippy computer animation.
And don't get me started on the foreheads..
I think this answers itself (from a earlier Facepunch thread):

Kind of glad they're doing live action, those foreheads were a little too large in the animated version.
Have they revealed what channel it'll be hosted on in the states? As CN has denied that.

Their voices are pretty different in the prequels.

They're still trying to work out a deal with a US station, but yes, CN is out of the picture. Also, an English dub has been confirmed, but it'll be after the original French version.

Animation style aside, what did you find so stupid about the show? Is it the way it walks on the fine line between reality and fiction? In my opinion, that's part of the whole appeal; as much of a stretch as the show is, it's also otherwise very easy to relate to for almost anyone in terms of the "normal life" segments, and seeing the two halves meet is the focus point of the plot.
Oh, hello childhood. Nice to see you again.
This and the return of Xiaolin Showdown and Teen Titans has been the greatest news for the Cartoon world this year
As I recall, this show ended a while ago
But still, french anime still made my day after school
Wait....I didn't realized until now.....this is going to be...fucking live action
Fuck. That. Shit.
i've been watching Code Lyoko on netflix lately and i still like it as much as i did when i was 12.

So we have one person unhappy with the old animation, and one person unhappy with the animation changing? Is that all we watch shows for now?

Thanks for reminding me, I'll add the fact that the original is on netflix now to the OP. I agree, I might honestly enjoy it even more now that I can understand what's going on better. The show does have a surprisingly complex plot, which can be a positive and a negative.
I hear tell that they're trying to get the original voice actors back for the EngDub. Also, note on the OP, it was never confirmed that those bumbling idiots who came to investigate Jeremie are the same people who chased down Anthea and Franz.
Thanks to codelyoko.fr, the identities and faces of the actors of the main characters have been found! See the OP (update 3) for more information. I also took some measures to keep the length of the thread down.

You're right, I had forgotten that was speculation. Updated OP accordingly, thanks!
I'm not sure whether I want to wait for the EngDub, or watch the french with EngSubs
I will always remember this series had one awesome Saturday morning zombie outbreak episode
Apparently Cartoon Network is looking into picking up Evolution: http://tbivision.com/show-of-the-week/2012/09/code-lyoko-evolution/15891/

So far it sounds like there won't be a wait, but we'll have to see.

To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about CN picking up CL:E. Considering they've been having bad programming block times. However I shouldn't be picky, CN is one of the few channels I get on cable.
I remember watching this back then. I don't think I ever watched a entire season of it. Just bit's and pieces.
holyshit I've been trying to remember the name of this show for years thanks
