Two Los Angeles gang members appear to have joined the flow of foreigners flocking to fight in Syria - in this instance, on the side of President Bashar Assad. In a video posted online, the two men boast that they are on the front lines and fire their guns in the direction of what they call "the enemigos."One of the men identifies himself as Creeper from the Sur-13 or Surenos, a loose affiliation of southern California gangs linked to the Mexican mafia. He rolls up his sleeves to show his gang tattoos and greets fellow gang members Capone-E and Crazy Loco.
The other says he is called Wino, and belongs to a gang called Westside Armenian Power. Members of the Armenian Christian minority in Syria are known to be staunch supporters of Assad.
I sort of felt like this kind of thing would happen eventually.
I won't even feel the least bit sad if they got blown up by Al-Qaeda/FSA/ISIS/whoever*.

Where is the bad reading rating when you need it?
Am I in the wrong for worrying about extremist influence getting to one of the most dangerous street gangs in the world who are literally experts at tunneling across the border from mexico into the united states undetected?

I just watched the clip. Honestly didn't really think there were war tourists fighting for assad. Fixed original post.

Yeah all good just based off of the video you would think that they were fighting for the rebels so I was surprised too.
Shoutout to all my homies in the Middle Homie East my homies.
Do they have to aim out of car door windows to maintain their accuracy?
Kinda reminds me of that 18 year old German kid who went to Syria to fight in the FSA and died within a week.
going on a work placement (overseas, no less) to gain some more skills relevant to their career choice, i imagine this will look really good on their CV
The gangsters are probably working as advisors on how to conduct hit-and-runs and special aiming techniques by canting their weapons at least 45 degrees to the left or right.
finally a gang where both white and black members feel out of place
Looks like a skit from the Boondocks.

Actually not war tourists lol they got deported from the US back to their birthplace (Syria).
Assumingly they've lived in LA all their lives.
Homie homie homie homie homie homie homie.
this is one of the most surreal things i've ever watched
And then they return to LA with military training and experience for guerrilla warfare :v:

Yeah I think you're right, he was 16 which is even sadder. I didn't think that seemed right when I made the original post since 16 seemed too young for a guy to try to go to war and get killed but the world sucks.
I bet when the one gang member said they should go fight in the middle east, the other said "Are you Syrious?"
this is hollywood movie material
