Amanda Nunes beats Ronda Rousey!
Nunes is walking Rousey down. Big punch sequence plasters Rousey. That’s it! That’s it! Herb Dean steps in to stop the contest. Down goes Rousey!
Half disappointing it didn't go longer, half expected her to get her ass beat.
All my friends said Rousey was gonna win and thought i was crazy for betting on Nunez but I got the last laugh
That was some of the worst showing of boxing and defense I've seen in a combat sport. Ronda is/was great for the UFC, but she pretty much killed her chances of being a big draw again with this fight.

Sadly, the women's side of UFC is generally at a very low level of technical skill. Rousey only lasted so long because there weren't any real competitors.
that wasn't even a minute
that wasn't even a minute
Yes thank you for helping us count

After one year and looking buffed I thought she was gonna show off some good technique after the Holmassacre.
Nooooope
I was completely wrong. Amazing how one dude can fuck up a star's career. Had she changed trainer/camp, tonight's ending would have been completely different.
Remember when Rousey was hot shit and everyone wanted to cast her in movies?
Yeah, those days are long gone now, aren't they?
Damn, you win some you lose some. I think Ronda has a lot of hype behind her because of her past winnings.
Shes a cool chick though. I still like her.

You say that as if it doesn't happen to every popular athlete.
The Cruz/Garbrandt fight was well worth the watch but damn the main event was kinda pathetic. Ronda got rocked
Let it be known that CM Punk outlasted Ronda.

CM Punk got his head beat in. Also, he took on, from what I understand, a really really good fighter as his first opponent.
I was looking more towards the Cody Garbrandt fight since they announced the card. Absolutely phenomenal fight.
Can't wait for Ronda to piss and moan about her loss for the next six months... :v:
Does Ronda know about this thing called a "block"? I hear they can be pretty helpful.
I hope she goes away for good now.
she said to not be a "do nothing bitch" but there she is being one and eating punches from nunes
[sp]not to mention the fact that she took a year off following her previous loss lmao[/sp]
i say rousey retires
...video...
The fight was over already at the beginning of the video, she didn't know what is going on. Would like to see what happened before.

for media coverage yeah, but having a one-trick pony as the front page star for women's mma is not very good at all

the vid only has the beginning of the fight but you can see it was already over 5 seconds in with rousey trying to strike at half the speed of nunes
I have literally no idea what her strategy was. It's like ever since she decked Bethe Correia, she thinks she's a striker.
She's a one-trick pony, and she dominated because she was really, really good at that trick compared to the competition. I don't know why she's trying to be an all-rounder.

nah i doubt it
the problem with very arrogant fighters is that once their glass castle shatters around them it's incredibly hard for them to rebound. now that she lost all her intimidation factor and other contenders in a rapidly growing division know that they can beat her in her current state by punching the shit out of her, she'd have to work extremely hard to even be mid-card
rousey isn't faultless when her mother and everyone else thinks that taverdyan is garbage. even if your coach refuses to teach you how to jab for whatever reason, eventually you have to put on the big girl pants and learn to do it yourself
if she can't even do that much, changing trainers would have given her another 10 seconds tops

the problem is that she doesn't seem like she's trying to be an all-rounder at all
she won her previous matches through a mix of intimidation, her judo ability, and being put against much weaker opponents. rousey started judo when she was 11, correia started fight training only 4 years ago
if she can't even get her opponents down to armbar because her stand up is so poor, what's the point of having the trick?
The fight was over already at the beginning of the video, she didn't know what is going on. Would like to see what happened before.
It seems like she wanted to clinch or grab her, got a nice fistcake to the face and then her vision went FUBAR. You can see some awkward attempts at "grabbing" the air after Nunes lands more fists.
Here is the full fight. If any of us here was put in that ring we would probably leave a better impression, she was literally just a punching bag, didn't do nothing.
Also notice how she didn't do the initial "greeting" when the match started. The opponent raised her hand and she just ignored it.

Well, she is good, she'd kick any of our asses, and she is a hottie and not some meathead, but just like every sport ever, when someone comes along and ups the bar, everyone else in the sport then strives to reach that bar if not surpass it, so here we are today and Rhonda's up against people of equal or better skill while she's already at her ceiling. So her glory days are long gone
I think the only person it never happened to was Bruce Lee. That mother fucker literally LIVED for martial arts, and he was GOOD. One of the few people who could use actual martial arts in a real fight without dumbing it down to just street fighting and win
here's ronda's corner sounded like

Man, what is that haricut on the left ahaha
She earnt 3 million for that 48 second scrap, more money than most of us will ever see.
Last time she lost she was in a huge depression. Hopefully she won't be again this time
