Uhm. Ok. I was genuinely trying to be helpful since I know when I make a thread I google to see if it was made first, but since "Half Life" is a term so widely used on Facepunch my thread was bound not to be in the first few search results and my thread was 6 pages back since the last episode was a couple of days ago. I didn't tell him to close his thread or anything, I just wanted to inform him there was already a thread for it. People can use whichever thread they want to, I just thought it would be nice to keep everything in the same thread. No big deal.

FP hates redundancy if there is a lot of it.
This is episode 3 of a video in a section with not much redundancy. If it were in the gaming section or music section your point would be more important. Fact is the video section only has redundancy problems when two people post the same thing.
"Megathreads" and single video posts live in harmony in this section. Take a gander at the TotalBiscuit threads.
