Commenting that moment he says that he was distracted by a soldier that passed infront of the camera, so he didn't even understand what happened.

Also later on, laying in the BTR, he said:"It was ПТУР or some shit" so he wasn't sure what it was. All in all it seems that he didn't see the missile until he watched the video.
