Although not an officer of the law of any sort, he uses skills and knowledge from his former career as a successful to help a team of CBI agents solve various crimes, with the hope of one day bringing the murderer of his wife and daughter to justice. He used to be a psychic medium working for a carnival, however he doesn't believe in psychic powers and the ability to read minds. Patrick's main concern is the search for a serial killer who is fond of Patrick, named Red Jon. Red Jon, killed Patrick's wife and now he is to seek revenge. If you have not seen this program I strongly recommend that you do watch it, I didn't find a thread on this so I'm guessing it's not very popular, but it deserves a thread. I was waiting for this thread to come out, almost made it myself a few times. The Mentalist is a great show. When does it restart after the hiatus?

The first series was brilliant, but eventually it just became too samey for me and I lost interest.

I love this show. In the newer episodes you can really see the darkness in him.

Doesn't seem as good in my opinion, I like the serious side to The Mentalist so this seems less appealing.

Not much more similar than any of the other crime shows at least.

I've only watched one episode though and that was just because Keith David was in it.

Mentalist is awesome. Every episode is gripping (no homo) And the Season 2 finale was like 'Holyshitfuckbollockpeni-' (fall off chair)

I started watching this show because some faggot on steam told me it was good. Patrick is awesome. I can see how him being a prick is arguable though. However in many episodes, at the very end he's usually pretty kind, for example giving the woman the poker winnings. Looking forward to watching more of the show.

The main character reminds me of my old boss. He'll throw random serious accusations just to see how you respond.

He does upset people, but it is all for a good cause, and people do get annoyed by him but like you said he does become nice to them at the end of the show. Also, I am not a faggot.
