At first I thought it was a hoax, but it turns out it's not. That source (in spanish) pretty much says they took down that promotional video from the Mendoza province webpage because of that part. :v:

Some people really should learn some "ninja browsing" techniques or something... Or else you'll end up in extremely embarrasing moments, such as this one. :v:

I use a bookmark for YouTube now. Chrome likes to reveal my secrets even after I clear all my history from the beginning of time.
I find it more hilarious that he's actually using VLC. :v:
VLC is a fine piece of software, what's wrong with it?
VLC is a fine piece of software, what's wrong with it?
I'll admit it got a little better now that they finally implemented 10bit playback in the latest update, but VLC still sucks in comparison to proper MPC-HC setups due to washed-out colors, poor performance, and a closed system that doesn't allow for custom codec setup (since it uses a built-in set that is only updated when they update VLC itself, hence why it couldn't do 10bit until only just now). It's an easy, one-installation setup for people who can't be assed to tweak MPC, but it has tons of problems and is by far just terrible in comparison. I have a friend who adamantly defends it and whenever we have a get-together to watch stuff at his house, we have to suffer through artifacts, desyncing, terrible subtitle quality, and files not even playing half the time. It's the Internet Explorer of media players; the easy, one-stop shop for people who don't really know what they're doing. And there's this too: [thumb]http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/706/vlcvsmpc.png[/thumb]
oh wow absolutely minor quality issues that overall fail to affect my enjoyment of whatever media is playing
It's nitpicky, yeah, but when someone like me notices problems like that, I can't stand not fixing them. It's the same reason anyone parades software like browsers or OS's over one another; for an average person, the differences between IE and Firefox are invisible and they probably don't give a shit whether something looks/functions worse in one compared to the other. To someone who actually takes the time to read into it, though, it's clear which one is the better option, so why settle for anything less? Granted, VLC has gotten a lot better, but it used to be an absolute pile of shit and I'm never going to touch it ever again. Same reason I won't bother with IE at this point, no matter how much it's improved in its latest iteration. They've gotten better, but they still don't stack up to superior alternatives.
I listened to that song an hour ago on my itunes
oh wow absolutely minor quality issues that overall fail to affect my enjoyment of whatever media is playing
We're not big enough nerds to find every little detail to complain about for a certain piece of software. VLC does the job excellently, watching a video shouldn't require the amount of fussing around that MPC-HC apparently needs ("for people who can't be assed to tweak MPC"). Plus, I snagged VLC Media Player for iPad before it got taken down and it's great, but I don't see any MPC-HC iPad app. On my Android phone I use either MoboPlayer or MX Video Player.

A decent player with all the codecs contained is exactly what you need for a mobile device.
