Police are deliberating charges against a Savannah man they say robbed a health food store Thursday afternoon in an area SWAT and K-9 units were conducting a training exercise. The 20-year-old man was apprehended by a Savannah-Chatham police officer who was familiar with him from previous cases as SWAT, K-9, patrol officers and a helicopter saturated the area around Ga. 204 and Interstate 95, said Julian Miller, police spokesman. The man reportedly had robbed the GNC store on the first block of South Gateway Boulevard and ran away before the combined units swept into the area and found him leaving a wooded area, Miller said.
http://savannahnow.com/crime/2014-01-23/police-savannah-man-robs-health-food-store-during-swat-training-gets-arrested
They took a bite out of crime.
I read the title thinking he was part of the SWAT training as a pretend thief and actually got arrested.
From the headline, I thought he was a SWAT trainee and decided that, even though he forgot his wallet, he was having lunch anyway. Instead it's just a "you picked the wrong time to rob this neighbourhood, motherfucker" story.
The man was obviously just trying to making their training a little more fun and effective by providing a real challenge.

Or get into a rotor blade fight with several helicopters!
Or call Lester.
