The More You Know: -The vinyl scratching sound that comes in with the beat is cut so the pops and clicks synchronize with the beat. It was recorded off of my copy of Fool The Detector, a Venetian Snares EP that came dusty for some reason. -The creature-esque screeching is an English reporter for Al Jazeera saying "two bedroom apartment". It was a report on some expensive London flat or something dumb like that.
This is really cool
I really like this! It sounds like Autechre.

The patch for the main background synth was put together shortly after I listened to Eutow, which had me interested in using simpler, less processed patches as pads. An earlier version of this track had the melody 50% faster (and subsequently 50% higher pitched), while another had it at the same speed it is now but reversed so it sounded middle-eastern and psychedelic. Sounded neat but there was a lingering awkwardness to it. The beat was also recorded 50% faster (for another track albeit) but the bars blended together too much and it sounded too repetitive.
