I didn't play Wolfenstein, but isn't it supposed to be more like Doom and Quake ie. fast paced with loads of guns? This looks very slow paced, like they've taken the Doom 3 approach to the game.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein combat was neither fast nor slow. Some segments did require time and precision.
The gunplay in the video above, while looks rather slow, but the motion and pack-a-punch feel of the guns are pretty good. But the sounds were too small to decide if they're truly good. Sounds are quite vital to good gunplay.
As long as there is a Cyborg Hitler, I'll be happy.
We better be able to suspend corpses with minigun fire like in rtcw.
I'm sceptical. If they got the gameplay right, the level design may break this one's neck. I hope it won't be too linear and cutscene-driven
Looks fun, I'm glad it's mostly just running and constantly firing huge guns and huge enemies. And that cutting tool sounds really fucking cool.
looks super neato cant wait to play this
Wow really disappointing....
As impressive as that 'cover cutter', for lack of a better word,1 is I doubt it would be useful seeing as how intense the action in this game is.

What is wrong with having color in games these days? Not everything has to be washed-out blue.
That raygun that explodes the enemies looks awesome. Reminds me of the gun from District 9. I love splatting people, the Gauss Cannon was my favorite weapon in Half-Life as well.
It's looks awesome as hell.
My only concern is if this sorta stays indoors and doesn't take us outside to really see a Nazified London or New York.
Because I really want to see and explore this world.

I have a feeling it might be confined to the giant Nazi HQ. Kind of like a "fight your way to the top floor" kind of thing.
[editline]28th May 2013[/editline]
Where they keep Hitler's brain in a jar, of course.

Connected to a giant robot.
I would love a ww2 enviroment but this should be fine. The one liners are gonna be awesome
this is sooo cheesy
The put a nazi on the moon? Fuck the moon
It feels like everyone wants more run and gun shooters, yet whenever they are released they get failing scores and no one buys them.

It looks like it has a style going with it that im kinda alright with, with washed out colors that make all the red pop out more.
the darkness guys + starbreeze making a game?
shitting myself right now

Possibility of mecha-super-robot-cyborg-Hitler as final boss?
Cream yourself.

It's also nice to know the developers had a colour palette in mind. I really don't get why everyone shits on that. It's easy to look at.
The story sounds like a copy of Turning Point Fall of Liberty. I think they should have kept the story like previous Wolf games (BJ must stop the SS Paranormal Division's zombie antics)

You are right. But the concept of this game is good. I mean wolfenstein RTC had zombies and nazis with crazy technology and that concept was really good with many enviroments(from snowy towns to forests). Now this wolfenstein looks like it's going to take place in a city or whatever with a visual style that is fucking shit in my opinion but I can't judge from just one video. I will keep checking out the game. You know it's not only the gameplay but it's also where you are gonna kill in the game and what you are going to kill(for example not only nazis but zombies too) Shit has to keep changing in the game to keep you interested in exploring the areas and the enemies.
Looks relatively fun! Which is what all Wolfenstein games have been. Just fun, nothing goty, shooting mystical sci-fi nazis is FUUUUN.
Can't wait.
I actually really like the art-style and mapping aesthetics too. It's pretty much the dark sci-fi metallic Riddick game style, and I LOVE that shit. The riddick games were beautiful looking and they weren't supposed to be colorful at all. They are like one of the few good studios that make a smaller color scheme look amazing.
That fucking laser cutter is amazing.

bj may still end up fighting nazi robot zombies

I reckon the video isn't showing us that because the developers don't want to give it all away so soon.
turning point was bad though
so this could make a game like that but good
well, except in turning point you're supposed to be an average joe but w/e
Turning Point is the only game in my entire time playing games where I've ever went "You know what, I'm done with this" and put down the controller, turned it off, and never played it again.
That being said, this looks really awesome.
