All over this forum, I will see bad posts. The usual ones. In response to them, a regular Facepunch may say, "oh look, someone let the 4channers back on Facepunch again." Or something to that effect. Why? 4chan isn't a bad place. I don't understand why FP has such an insanely negative opinion of it.

It depends on the board honestly. /b/ and /v/ are pretty bad. But /v/ is bearable sometimes. Other board such as /tg/ are a bit more friendly and less hectic.
I do not know why facepunch hates it so much. Its not that bad.

This isn't really a debating topic. No it's not, all of the less popular boards are fine.
It really depends on the board although you will get trolls no matter what.
/b/ and the like get pretty hectic but boards like /diy/ and /k/ all have pretty top quality posting
It's just people who think they're cool and mature because they don't associate with 4chan.
/x/ can be awesome. Terribly [i]designed[/d] site IMO, way too much spam but nothing adblock can't fix.

All I know is that the fellas at /ck/ are complete badasses.
I enjoy 4chan as both an idea or philosophy and as a medium of entertainment (although I hardly browse).
The humour on the boards, especially towards women and those who are saying they will commit suicide, can seem abominable at first, but you eventually realise that most people who say things such as "tits or GTFO" are either just joking or idiots. In terms of mocking people who say they will kill themselves, I am kind of 4chan's asshole responses, because most people who browse 4chan do not go there to console those who are depressed, so to force somthing like that on them is a pretty bad move.

/v/ is a good board if you don't expect serious videogame discussion, because pretty much everybody is trying to troll everybody on there

No.. it's very strict by the rules and on most areas it is very useful and a lot of content.
Like wallpapers, it's my main source for wallpapers pretty much.

Good boards and bad boards, just like Facepunch. Only there the bad boards are the most popular ones.
Anonymity brings out things in people they wouldn't do without it, but that's why I like the place. No join date / post count / e-penis dickwaving.
As has already been said here, it's really not. It's just that the more popular boards (/b/, /v/, etc) are full of idiots, therefore outsiders stereotype the site to be fully idiotic. Many boards on there are honestly not that bad.

Deep web is overhyped and 99% of the "contract killer" bullshit is fake.
Also I won't deny that a large amount of posters to the larger boards are genuinely idiots, but there are also a lot of people who just make shitposts sarcastically. To an outsider it can be difficult to differentiate between them (it's usually possible), which is where a lot of the stigma comes from.
When people hear the word 4chan, they usually just think it as /b/ but the site is a lot more than just that.
/mu/ has a horrible community but is pretty good for getting recommendations.

People actually think 4chan is /b/, and /b/ only.
I visited the /mu/ section. It's poor.
The same reason as FP hates on Religion(which is starting to piss me off, because so many posts are stupid and not worth reading.) One person sees the 'kewl memberzz' doing it and jump on the bandwagon, followed by 25 more people.
Afaik it's just as bad as the LMAO pics community.
You'd be surprised how many Facepunchers go on 4chan.
