HELP CUBEMANV2 GET INTO OFFICE! Ereunity - $100 XeroG - $2 Let's start the thread off with something funny, Otherwise you'd get bored reading the rest first hand. ( I was present in the audience during this video, Only about 5 of us actually in the audience) Why I'm Running & Why Non-Party Let's start off with what made me want to run, Back when Yonkers was hit with the flooding and hard winds of Hurricane Sandy. Afterwards I found out that my City Council member was on vacation. I didn't even know at the time that vacation from him was a normal thing, yet alone doing this. With a lack of a representative for our district we would rely on other council members who at the time (Respectfully) were much more worried about there own constituents we went without any representation to show that we were extremely suffering with our extremely large if not majority of elderly population in my district. Why Non-Party? Well Read these articles, Then you already got the jist of it. "Don't vote against your party", Are you kidding me? So I have to choose party over my people, Honestly. Fuck that. I believe that honestly, With a local level position and even ones higher up. You just listen to your constituents and you relay the message in your actions in office. There are around 4 primary civic associations that have meetings normally around once or twice a month in my district, This isn't including the 2 police civic association groups and a few others but I have already pledged to attend all these meetings (And currently even though not in office, attending them as of present). I don't listen to parties or leadership of them I just listen to what my constituents want, And it's paying off well. So thats why I'm officially a candidate for 4th District City Council. The Incumbent Let's get started on what a ghost figure this guy is, He only attends meetings that rarely ever involve the public. And when he does once in about 5-6 months comes to a public civic associations he says stuff like this on the homeless shelters being built on our city borders "Don't worry, I'll place a police car on that bridge and we will stop them from coming over". Sure be the typical damn loonie republican and lets go with Discrimination and Profiling (Both Illegal in the City Of Yonkers & Bronx) to stop what's actually a really nice Homeless shelter program coming near our neighborhood. At this meeting he only said how bad this shelter is and you'll never forget it. Sure I won't because it looks pretty damn good. He's missed numerous possibly going into the double digits now of Official City Meetings that take place in the Council Chambers, Which means hes missed dozens if not into the hundreds of actions that he was suppose to vote on to represent us. He only sides with the republican parties needs and doesn't care for anything unless his party tells him to vote on it. He refuses to show up to community events, Apparently doesn't even like his photograph to be taken. Which is funny for being a public figure. He's ignored and forgotten about petitions he told constituents to create, Missed out on numerous council meetings making him miss out on representing us when it comes to city business. What Else? I have alot of sleepless nights as of recent, Due to campaign stress with now a 3 way campaign and the fact of when I hear a story about someone struggling it keeps me up, Especially when seeing it on the street. Right now the campaign has 99.99% of my life, The other part is me reminding to feed myself. Just yesterday we held a small social event, It wasn't a huge success but at the same time wasn't a failure with local community leaders coming and even outsider religious leaders from neighboring cities and communities coming and wishing me luck. To know that I am reaching out to even outside my city I know I'm doing a grand job. Hell even Bill Clinton knows I'm running. What can you do, Or support? You can submit testominals via my campaign email brandonneiderofficial@gmail.com, It'll be rotating on the website. It's currently pending around 10 or 12 different ones from local leaders but don't worry, Yours will be put up. We will have a Facepunch banner at my August Social Meet & Greet. Want your username or a small sign or something at it Because it's going to be live streamed? You only have to start off by donating a dollar! http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/brandon-neider-for-yonkers-city-council-2013/x/1708860 Yes, This is also fundraising. Typical City Council elections spend around 15-20k. We want to be extremely wise with funds and are cutting out all the waste that previous candidates spend on trying to make profit off fundraising instead of breaking even and planning properly. Wasteful dinners and purchases and self-reimbursements. Sp, We are accepting just a dollar to get your name on the banner! Because I'm not backed by a party, It's harder to gain funds. A lot harder. We have managed to get a few donations here and there but currently we are a bit in the red, And will be going deeper within the next month. So if you have a spare dollar or a few dollars and can donate them, You will be recognized at our event. We will also have other banners created for other communities that donate, If you are part of another community and can spread the word and they want there own banner, With enough of that community we will gladly make them one and have it up. By donating your not just helping me win, Your showing that you don't need a party (And corrupt ones at that) To truly represent constituents. And hell, Maybe I'll be your president one day.. You can gladly visit my website, http://brandonneider.com/, You can also show your support on various news websites such as YonkersTribune and ect. Hopefully we can keep this thread alive, And I'll keep posting updates. So please if you can, spread the word and lets get a real non-party candidate in office in the United States again! Considering the only one really truly known was George Washington, hah. I have a Book fair to go to and assist children (One of my actual favorites). Too-da-loo!
i hope u win buddy
i hope u win buddy
i hope i win too, thanks though seriously, Support is always welcome verbally or physically.
And hell, Maybe I'll be your president one day..
And then you'll order the White House to be refashioned with a giant FP logo, right?
Although negative campaign advertisements work, you need to be able to back up that you're better than the Incumbent in those aspects for those advertisements to be truly effective. On a curious side, what's your platform/political leanings?
I've actually been seriously considering a political position in my region, I'm not sure where I want to run my campaign for office though. I've been in the same sort of feeling about my local area, they're letting themselves sit around and argue about zoning for years that nothing ever gets built and nothing ever progresses because this happens.
And then you'll order the White House to be refashioned with a giant FP logo, right?
Fp flags, Garry Newman paintings , rave room dedicated for oify. I work with community leaders when forming events and put myself into event teams rather then just being the "ideas guy" My platform is no party, straight representation. The only people I Answer to are my civic associations and constituents. And your right nonetheless And same with our city, even the best of motions or ideas Get held up by one group just to cause political stir.

I know for a fact that when I figure out what to run for, I'm going to be affiliating with the Libertarian Party. Plus I know people who were once town treasurers and such a few years ago, it doesn't sound that difficult to run for the town's office but it might be more difficult to run for county. I already know how I'm going to do my campaign though, the town and county are becoming disgruntled with both the Democrats and the Republicans and the Libertarian Party is nearly a major third party after the events since January.
Mr. Neider, how do you respond to accusations that you are an active member of the internet community "Facepunch dot com", which hosts content such as "Durgs Discussion" and "The Gay Chat Thread"? Do you not feel these activities are a threat to family values?

I have reached out to the Democratic party, Working Family, Green Party, Actually just got a letter and call from the Libertarian Party headquarters in DC about endorsement. The working family & Libertarian party are the most intrested in me, But they have been playing games as of late (Working family) by not answering my emails or calls. So I assume they didn't like the fact I reached out to the Libertarians as well and I have friends in the republican party (The non-extremists, Like another Gov Christie). The Libertarian party chapter of Westchester (Soon to be I believe) were extremely welcoming and had no issues with them, We had our debates on certain economics and how I'm for free market but not FREE FREE market and how Zoning for Buildings needs to exist. As well as social programs. Otherwise, If no party wants to endorse someone who's not registering there party or planning on registering a major party like democrat thats fine, I'll create my own line. And if all 1500 people who sign it also voted, I'd automatically win the election as the previous elections usually tally up to the winner getting around 1100-1300 maximum.
Mr. Neider, how do you respond to accusations that you are an active member of the internet community "Facepunch dot com", which hosts content such as "Durgs Discussion" and "The Gay Chat Thread"? Do you not feel these activities are a threat to family values?
I've been verbally attacked about my stance on LGBT Rights and Family Values, Our 3rd district council member is openly homosexual and has been in a relationship with his partner for longer then 30 years. I started extremely young when my grandfather had an assistance who was openly homosexual and he's been a great friend of the family for decades now. Long lasting relationship and both are always happy together. Recently my grandfather also put in another openly homosexual woman to my former high school in his TRiO program to assist kids into getting into school. Certain administrations fought her coming in because how open she is at certain times, But she was placed and is literally (Even though I loved the old one and am friends with him) better with them. She does like to really put it out there at certain times, But that's her choice and I respect that. Anytime someone brings it up I'll tell them "You know what, It seems every couple of decades we deal with another social issue based on equal rights between race, gender and now sexual orientation. I'd rather lose an election then say I'm against LGBT rights and equal marriage laws that don't depend on sexual orientation. Drugs, Well I'm assuming we are going at marijuana. Look it's proven scientifically to help with cancer. It's proven to not be bad in small amounts. If anything so far from what I've read we might as well just switch Weed with Tobacco and the world would probably be so much better. At the moment I'm all for medical marijuana, I also don't mind if people want to socially smoke a little once in a while. I've never touched any form of drugs including tobacco so I really can't say how bad or good it is in my person opinion compared to both. So i depend on studies.
not to mention http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1276521
I just found this out as you posted it. I used to use brohoster at a certain point. Also, you can gladly ask more questions on my stance on anything or how to also get involved in running your own campaign or get involved with campaigns.
So to sum it up, you want to start a brand new political party?
Wow I had no idea that this was YOU (this was my comment from last week on one of your videos) That's cool. Seriously though man, good luck, you'll need it in this government.
Good luck, seriously! I plan on running for office one day, and it's good to see people our age making waves and getting involved, especially in local politics where it's most needed.
op, take out your competition, you'll win easier that way
So to sum it up, you want to start a brand new political party?
No, I'm creating my own ballot line because I'm not apart of a party. That's what you have to do if you decide to run non-party, otherwise you go and get non-party nominations (Nicknamed Wilson Pakula) and you can get on a parties ballot line if they allow you to.
;40950755']Good luck, seriously! I plan on running for office one day, and it's good to see people our age making waves and getting involved, especially in local politics where it's most needed.
Thanks man, Even if you don't win the election its a great experience. And I hope to pave the way and be able to give other youth answers when they run.
op, take out your competition, you'll win easier that way
I sent him an invitation to a night out to the movies & dinner at tgi fridays
Update: So it turns out I'll have to name the ballot line that I'm on, And it can be named anything. We are thinking of an awesome name, But at the same time need funding so may add the option to the community that donates a bit will get included in the name (Providing the name isn't really offensive). If anyone is kind enough, you'd be helping the only non-party candidate get into public office currently in the U.S
I guess the name should be informative about the party's core political opinions, to make it seem a bit more formal than just an opinion spread around on the Internet.
I guess the name should be informative about the party's core political opinions, to make it seem a bit more formal than just an opinion spread around on the Internet.
The Face-Value Party? [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] Alternatively, the Constituent Party.
the only non-party candidate get into public office currently in the U.S
What? Not sure if you mean 'against both parties' by the term 'non-party', but there are two members of the Senate who are not part of either the Democratic or Republican party.
Non party means not registered with any party.
The People's Party? Since it is a party about the people? I'm joking, though I do like the name "Face-Value" or "Constituent's Party" or something.
The Constituents Party is sounding pretty good actually. It follows my platform as well where I only listen to the Constituents and not party leaders. I found out today, The previous candidate who wanted to run is now blindly getting youth to register democrat and sign a petition without actually telling who they are supporting. We are advising and holding an event with the my team to hand out flyers and post them up saying along the lines of "Stay Informed, Ask Before Signing Petitions, Know who your supporting". Thanks to XeroG for donating by the way, Every donation goes a long way! This Thursday is the event and photos will be posted on here when its over (Part of our campaign team meeting). Anyone wishing to donate, go ahead. The banner name placement is beginning!
we can back you. why not have us back you? would you have events in respect to this forum?
we can back you. why not have us back you? would you have events in respect to this forum?
Facepunchers are always invited to my event, The event I'm hopefully hosting in august would be discounted to just the food cost that night (Probably around 30-40 bucks) depending on the meals. As I said, We have donations open and anyone on FP who donates gets put on the banner. We got a few people who donated already and I'll post the list in a couple of days when i feed through my paypal.
