I cant help but think "Behind the graphics: is there actual, decent game play?".
I haven't kept track on EA BF2.

They haven't shown any real footage of SP outside of cutscenes yet. Just really small snipits like in these BTS videos.
Plenty of Multiplayer gameplay though.

We saw a fair amount at E3 and there was that alpha test some weeks ago and apparently it's very solid.
her american accent is kinda weird considering the other imperial characters (including her own dad) all have english accents

The thing (robot? or person?) in the back looks strange in a full body shot w/o the Emperor's face on it. Doesn't look like Star Wars. Like it's clothes look like Destiny and the helmet looks like ME:Andromeda.
"Dad your fly is open, for fuck sake."

It's a droid.

I'm so pumped for this story.
Modern Star Wars has turned the Empire from completely evil with nobody but evil assholes working for it into a complicated organization full of sympathetic people, who have their own reasons for joining and not just "we are p much space nazis and that's it".
That shot of the droid shocking the rebel at the door was actually leaked a few months back, except it was from an older build.
The environmental models look completely rebuilt.

SP isnt done by dice but actually Motive so its likely to be good
Dice are focusing on MP
Criteron are doing space / air battle related stuff
Edit:
got em backward :/

You got that backwards.
Motive is SP, Criterion is Vehicles.
They also did the speeder bikes in the first game.

Knew i'd get them backward
I hope they don't pull that bullshit where the protag realizes they're doing bad stuff so they switch sides.
With the protag in this game being a veteran black ops soldier, it would be retarded if she just now has an epiphany and switches sides

The narration in the first trailer implies shes with the First Order 30 years later.

The game opens with the Empire getting completely owned, left badly split and the game will lead to her being there for the founding of the FO.
If she does turn it would make no sense. The FO is meant to be secretive as hell pre TFA and that wouldn't be possible if one of the high ranking people turned traitor. Plus who would she fight? The crippled remains of the Empire? The fledgling FO?
Plus like Tuskin said, she's still there TFA period or so. I wouldn't worry about her swapping sides.
Honestly there's 2 things that it comes down to for me, if the campaign is short, that's gonna be annoying as fuck, but, I'll deal with that one better than if we find out she switches sides, like honestly that's just throwing the game under a fucking bus then beating the shit out of it with baseball bats after.
I hope this turns out good. Titanfall 2 really set the bar pretty high when it comes to AAA-FPS campaigns.
What she said about the Empire being underdogs gives me hope that it won't pull an "I'm a rebel now"
We also have to take into account that we've seen the imperial to rebel plot before.
Honestly we've had Finn from TFA, Bodhi from R1 AND [sp] Kallus from rebels [/sp] all flipping from Imperial to Rebel/Resistance. It'll be overdone at this point.

Battlefront 2 is primarily a MP game. I'm expecting a good story, and it being fun, but I'm not expecting it to be longer then 4-5 hours long.
I hope I'm proven wrong though
I think people are forgetting that in the first trailer, Iden says "I've waited 30 years for this."
Pretty evident that she sticks with the First Order.
I bet it is going to end with her dying on Starkiller
Also her squad's colour scheme is probably the basis of the First Order's special forces
[editline]16th July 2017[/editline]
Or maybe not, according to the lore, the special forces pilots got their makings from the elite pilots of the old empire

Reminds me of XCOM a bit
