Almost two years later, Bullshit Man returns.
I see we got two episodes in one today. Absolutely insane how a pocket knife or even a handsaw wasn't enough to cut through that type of cardboard (although to be fair, he wasn't really using the latter right).
God I could feel the pain and frustration just watching that opening bit
I think it's because the distributors have a deal with the shipping companies where they have to send packages that are a specific size, so instead of filling the box with a bunch of packing peanuts for one very small item they just make the item's packaging really big so it fits snuggly in the box and doesn't tumble around.
advertising space and anti-theft

Just use a smaller box.
i guess he's never been to a wholesale warehouse such as costco
Packaging in general is bullshit. What ever happened to a basic cardboard box that told you what was inside and had all the legally required stuff printed on it, inside the box, some foam to protect the thing, the thing itself, all sized reasonably?! Oh, wait, sometimes it is done. I hate to be the super nerdy type, but this is a good example of proper packaging. The thing inside is protected well, yet the packaging fits tight, there's no wasted space. That packaging is able to not only survive the rigors of the postal service, but do so while protecting its delicate contents. I know this firsthand, I bought one of those a few weeks ago, arrived pristine despite USPS handling it. 100% agree with the video. Modern packaging is bollocks.
Most likely he got the 256GB one from somewhere else
he says he purchased both from Amazon.
i cant even count the amount of stupid packages i had to deal with for the life of me, so many times while handling the package the actual item inside occupies 15% of the package space
Goddamnit I was thinking "Oh, this guy sounds like James Rolfe" throughout the entire video. Then I got to the end, and I felt like a retard. Fuck.
I actually had a discussion about this with colleague about this at work some time ago. Manufacturers usually provide different packagings depending on the needs of their customers. One reseller prefers to sell them from behind the counter (in which case a small package is sufficient) other resellers might prefer to just put them on a shelf inside the store (in which case they might want to choose for the big and bulky ones) The Gillette Razorblades refills are a great example for this (and the reason I had the discussion about it, because I was complaining that the oversized ones didn't fit in the usual spot in the store) Now why is the 128GB larger than the 256GB? Pretty much because Amazon managed to get a slight cheaper deal at their supplier when they bought these ones. You want to have a 128GB usb stick below a certain price? Sure, Amazon has you covered, but there is a chance that you are going to get some unique packagings every now and then...
I bought a new tape measure the other day and it had the most retarded packaging ive ever seen. I was seriously messing with the damn thing for like 10min trying to get it off.
I could recognise the angry video games nerd voice anywhere, he has such a distinctive anger
