It appears that Kerry's visit resulted in something. Some of his other suggestions were hillarious.
Thank Goodness, maybe people can flee to safer areas.

Yep.
I wish I could say with confidence that the fighting will cool down after this truce is over. This is definitely a calm before the storm though, despite what Kerry thinks. It's pretty disappointing.
Israel agreed to extend the truce by four more hours, but Hamas rejected the offer and started firing rockets into Israel.

There are no safe areas in Gaza, its basically a big Warsaw ghetto compromised of people whose families were refugees. Israel has already killed people who took refugee in "safe" areas.

It is not that trust me because they still have space to travel around and it's not like that.

Can someone please tell me what Hamas has to gain by rejecting an extended cease-fire and firing more rockets, other than looking like total dickheads. I can't really read into their motives.

To show they're not weak and won't bend under pressure
Even if that's the case, it's a pretty poor way of doing it. It just further shows they care even less about the citizens of Gaza than the IDF do.

They are probably hoping no one will notice and that Israel will retaliate and look like the bad guys.
I know I bash Israel a lot but, as I have before, I am going to point out Hamas is shittier. I believe Israel has the right to invade Gaza due to Hamas' actions, but the civilian toll and the utter lack of an attempt to prevent civilian deaths is shitty of Israel.

Hamas only wanted time to regroup and prepare. They don't actually care about the civilians.

How would you go about and prevent civilian deaths?

Maximize civilian casualties so keyboard warriors can use those to prove to themselves that Israel is the bad guy.

More civilian casualties to make Israel look bad... well, worse than they already do anyway though it isn't saying much by this point. All Hamas cares about is "Death to Israel", I doubt they give half a shit about the civvies, if anything to a lesser extent than Israel and that IS saying something.

It's hard to justify Israel's actions here, but I suppose the overwhelming use of force is so they put less risk to their infantry which is understandable from a strategic point of view. But yeah, the civilian casualty rate is fucking atrocious. I really don't understand why there hasn't been international intervention in dealing with Hamas - if the West used their SF and intelligence assets I'm sure they could do a much better job of both identifying & neutralising Hamas members and avoiding civilian casualties, compared to artillery and bombs. It'd be about the most peaceful solution there is given that neither Hamas or Israel will back down.
Hamas is not deterred by anything. It's willing to send it's own people to death, so more intelligence assets would lead to nothing.
Hamas is not about peace, nor does it care about it.
Before I noticed there was a truce it was already over.
Wow.
They probably took the cease-fire as a chance to relocate/reload and happened to finish early.
