don't they say it's because of the social-political consequences of the grievous racism they experienced, that they haven't recovered from and thus are in this shitty situation with very few outs?

It is to say that the most viable way for a great part of the impoverished community, a sizable deal of which happens to be black because of the previously mentioned social-political consequences, to survive is to resort to crime -- the same way poor people do in poor countries, like with the emergency villas here in Argentina.

No, they don't. Most of them will specifically say that "well they didn't live under jim crow and Obama was president so racism doesn't exist and anything they do is purely a result of them doing what they want to do". It comes up in this very debate.
I mean, what you said is right. Success in society is massively influenced by the social structure you're raised by. Things like generational wealth and how stable your family is are incredibly important, and even if you think racism doesn't exist today, racism has absolutely affected those things.

Ironically enough this shitshow was one of the most productive debates with the skeptic community for people on the opposition. It's a clear example of people like Lauren Southern and RoamingMillenial bending over backwards to be tools for literal bigots like Nick Fuentes. They'll challenge every argument made by the opposition but when someone on their side advocates for racism, misogyny, homophobia, or transphobia they'll either agree in the most palatable way possible or keep silent to avoid exposing their agenda. The only downside is that I think the skeptics are going to avoid interacting with openly bigoted people like Nick and NoBullshit from now on because what they'll learn from this debate is that the quickest way to expose themselves is to let people see how they operate around them.
Edit: Either that or they'll double down on their agenda and start openly expressing their bigotry if they think they can start getting away with it now that they've built up a bigoted audience.

This discussion is a really good example of why someone like Destiny is necessary, even if you think he's insufferable.
These discussions aren't about ideas, they're about optics. The point isn't to make the best argument possible, the point is to make the other person look as bad as possible. And while arguments are a part of that, another, arguably bigger part is stuff like what Nick was doing.
Make veiled threats towards the lives of the opposition, then laugh when they respond. Make fun of completely unrelated personal flaws to try and make them upset. Do everything you can to make them look emotional and pathetic. If you remember the presidential primaries, it's Trump debate 101. And it works. It convinces people.
The [I]only[/I] way to counter that is to beat them at that game. And Destiny is really fucking good at that. Yeah, it's just as shitty when he does it, but if no one does it then people like Laura and Nick just win by default.

the character limit kinda pushes everyone towards just sniping at each other and not debating but i've seen people even on this forum calling him a dumbass for his twitter posts when i know they'd probably agree with his more nuanced view

the problem with twitter is that you need people to respond positively to every individual tweet, devoid of context, and that's never going to work when you're trying to dunk people. There's always going to be a way to make you look like the villain.
At the same time, none of these discussions would have happened without twitter, so I guess it's just something that has to be put up with.
The only problem I have with debates like these is how non-sequitur and unmoderated it is. And the problems magnify with the more guests that Destiny has to deal with it seems.
I don't mind watching some of the bits, but it would help to condense points and time if the format wasn't just barely above what I expect from a random discord chat.

Like I said, they push the rhetoric while ommitting the conclusion. If you get people to believe that blacks are universally criminal and universally stupid and have been for all of human history you don't have to tell them that blacks are inferior to them, they'll fill in the blanks on their own.

I understand why you feel that way. I really really suggest you watch this.
Seeing him talk to Fuentes and Lauren kinda explains why he acted how he did in those discussions. Someone like Fuentes will say things like "low IQ" and "globalist elites" to refer to things like "genetic inferiority" and "jewish elites". He won't say "I want to kill the gays", but when you ask him what he does want he very carefully steps around saying that he [I]doesn't[/I] want to kill the gays.
Sargon uses a lot of the same rhetoric that people like Nick and Lauren use, but the difference is that I don't think he's actually disingenuous. But when you're in Destiny's position, and you're used to talking to people who are disingenuous, I think it's very difficult to adjust how you respond to what they say.
This is part of why people like Nick talk in the way they do, because it makes it so when you talk to other people in the future who aren't as two faced, you come off as paranoid and aggressive.

The dude is incapable of vocalising an actual stance that isn't lifted straight from some other source (which he probably hasn't actually read), he's a pseudo-intellectual jackass who shouldn't even be given a stage to spew his bullshit.
