Post your guitar pro 1-6 or any MIDI based songs here and discuss! A couple I posted in a previous thread: First song: Second song: Third song (I made this about a week ago and is my favorite): Fourth song: Constructive criticism only please! And yes I know it sounds like NES and Doom music which makes it AWESOME. Fifth song redone in protools http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FqJy_NoxaE If you wanna hear the guitar pro version. Sixth song:
Man.. increase the volume. I can't hear anything without maxing my speakers. --- I didn't make these in Guitar Pro. Still midi though. Same links from last thread. Fantasy Metal thing: "Spiral Galaxy" Techno Rock thing: "Don't Stop Moving" Some kind of boss/battle music: "Fighting the Holy Dragon" Another boss/battle piece: "Death Armament" RPG Story thing: "Prelude in B Major"
I love writing music, even tough I mostly suck at it. Well anyways, here is my first song, which was also the only one I put up on Youtube. Through my incredibly creative mind, I named it Retribution. :saddowns: Here is another one. Shorter and very different. I call it No Mercy! thanks to my epic creative mind. Newgrounds I have lots more, but I havent bothered to put them up anywhere.
This doesn't exactly fit but I figured what the hell. I tabbed out a Firelake song way long ago but once I installed the RSE pack and tried playing the song over again with it, it sounded amazing. Also, I loved that last one Masterbeta. I never liked the basic MIDI tones with GP but that song would sound kickass with real instruments.
The lower 5 songs on myspace page were made in guitar pro. The Acropolis is strictly guitar pro and I recommend that one a listen. http://www.myspace.com/bandofpepin
Get 6....... get 6.
Get 6....... get 6.
I like 5 more than 6. Plus making the drums in 6 is really annoying.
I heard GP6 has a lot of bugs, like distorted guitars sounding like a piano.
Get 6....... get 6.
6 is fucking horrible
GP5 is easiest to use.
Can't the OP rename this thread to "Midi songs" or something so we can cut the Guitar Pro crap :P
How do I rename threads?
You don't
I prefer TuxGuitar. Free/lighter/easier but guitar pro has nice soundbanks :frown: when I import Tuxguitar songs on guitar pro and load the RSE sounds it sounds shit and out of sync though :frown:
Tux doesn't sound good at all. I was surprised by how bad it sounded.
Tux doesn't sound good at all. I was surprised by how bad it sounded.
It's midi, ain't it? Should sound the same no matter the program.
Eventually I'll finish the other song I've been working on since forever.
It's midi, ain't it? Should sound the same no matter the program.
That's what I thought, but I gave tux a try for a bit and it just didn't sound good to me at all.
Made it in TuxGuitar, but because it has terrible MIDI sounds (and doesn't support pan left/right), I imported it into Acoustica Mixcraft 4. I had to use What U Hear in Audacity to record it, hence why it isn't in .MIDI format (When Acoustica's trial expires, all it does is disable exporting). Just something I made while playing around with downtuning and the intro riff of Soilwork's "Neurotica Rampage." Just kinda ends because I don't know where to take it. This was just practice, so yeah. :v: http://www.zshare.net/audio/77135013751ad458/ Forgive the off mixing, but it was difficult to find a good balance between drums and guitar.
Just finished it this morning.

Thanks man!! :)
Just finished it this morning.
Awesome song, can't stop listening to it.
Made a new song. It's not as fast paced as my other songs, but it picks up in a couple places.
OP, your songs are incredibly repetitive
I think the main problem is that the volume is so incredibly low that it's a real pain to listen to them. And all the songs sound like midi versions of "real" songs instead of something composed with midi in mind. But don't stop making music!!
OP, your songs are incredibly repetitive
Yes, I agree.
Can't you increase the volume of your videos? I mean, it's super basic to do. Even the Windows Recorder can do that.
Can't you increase the volume of your videos? I mean, it's super basic to do. Even the Windows Recorder can do that.
I did increase the volumes on the last three songs by at least 50% :( and it's still really loud on my end. I guess next time I'll just record it into audacity and boost up the gain. EDIT: Ok, so I asked a few other people if the volume was too low and, well, I don't mean to be rude, but it seems like a problem that only you are having.
it seems like a problem that only you are having.
No man. It's not me. :v: I'll prove it: See the huge difference in amplitude/volume? Of course it's audible, but that's not my point.
