I was just surfing Facepunch when I get an attack notification. [sp]Yes, I use Norton. Now shut the fuck up.[/sp] A Whois search reveals that, that IP is from the data center ThePlanet. They are in Texas and that's where the servers were before the switch. (If I remember) I've received this "attack" twice now (both after the server switch) so it may have something to do with that. Or it could be a false positive. But even if, why would it be from over there? Garry switched servers.
Yea, how else do you think Garry makes enough money to live on? Malware is a profitable buisness
Yep.
no
lol Norton
I have been getting the same attack reports from google.analytics

It's fucking Norton security They fucking block everything
You made a thread about a false positive, good job
Norton is actually a really good antivirus.
I got norton. It's funny because I never need it :D
Yeah it tells me. Who cares
What the fuck, I just blocked googleanalytics with NoScript and got a trojan popup when all my tabs reloaded. That was the opposite of what's supposed to happen!
It's not from google analytics. It's from waolovbichmz.info. With a lot of subdomains.
It's from the ads at the bottom of the screen. They don't do shit unless you click them and even then they're just false positives and not actually virus causing links.
Where's Zeke129 when you need him?
-snip-
Holy shit, I opened this thread and sophos blocked a fake av.
redacted
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=928467 Look familiar? Stop using such shitty software.
Search is disabled, how the fuck would I know?

Shit man, you have a virus on your computer. It's called Norton, it can take over your computer really quickly, and you won't be able to get rid of it.
huh, Avast just picked up this kav4.exe file from the ads below...
Seriously, what's with all the Norton hate? The reason why Norton generally appears to be a bit more "paranoid" than other AV programs is because it is designed for large businesses that have a lot more to lose than a consumer has. I've been using Norton for a while, since I get it free from the school, and the newer versions have all the features these supposedly "better" free anti virus programs rave about. Also, to keep slightly on topic, I've actually gotten the same false positive as well, on this site, as well as others. I've just ignored it for the most part.

Avast dinged this too, it's not just Norton. And I rarely hear people complain about Avast. If multiple anti virus programs are picking this one up then something's not kosher.
LMAO This guy actually bought Gmod, a publicly known and unstoppable virus! HAhaHaHA!
I told you guys Norton was picking something up :argh:
