Oh man I wish thrift stores around here had games and such, they just have old furniture, infant clothes and ugly cutlery from 1967 They have policies against accepting old tech :c
It's almost impossible now to find cool shit, seeing as most thrift stores local to me are monopolized by "hardcore collectors" that feel they need 10 copies of the same friggin game.

all of the charity stores in uk are usually just for clothes and old vhs tapes, kind of a bummer they typically don't take in old retro stuff.
I have, like, three charity stores near me. I spotted a working Sega Genesis and Master System on them today. Gonna start visiting them frequently. I also found a giant Tweety plush I'll get as a gift.

I found Splinter Cell, GTA III, and a Friends trivia game. [editline]The More You Know![/editline] In the CD section I found a bunch of shovelware and education games. I tend to stay away from PC shovelware after one tried to install adware on my PC.

I got a Sega Saturn with 3 controllers, cables, and 18 games for $15. At the same goodwill 2 months later, they had a Nintendo 64 with 2 aftermarket controllers, 2 sports games, and no cables for $100. A bag of practically new high quality phone cases was $4, but a 60gb hard drive in the package was $25. A World of Warcraft expansion pack was in the display case for $12, but Modern Warfare 3 was on the DVD rack was $5. I mean hell, sometimes PlayStation 1 games are $3 and other times they are the standard $0.99 for the CD. It's crazy.
LGR inspired me to find the SNES I have now. Found it at a good will for 20$ [t]http://imgur.com/TL20RCk.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/wuRcJhP.jpg[/t]
I usually go to flea markets and i've never found anything special. Thrift stores here are usually only for clothes unfortunately.
I love watching lgr. These thrift videos could honestly become a half hour program on television
This inspired me to check out the local craigslist to see if there was anything. I know it isn't really thrifting, but I've found loads of neat stuff already. I think I found my nephew an NES. I told my sister about it and sent her the link.
I am new to this whole "thrifting" scene, and this is my latest score. How did I make out? [thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Br5gILQCcAIozkS.jpg:large[/thumb]
Heh worth it for the laugh value alone. Good job.

I've yet to find NES or SNES games at my local Savers.
[QUOTE=Vilusia;45322805]Wow thanks, that's a great subreddit.[/QUOTE] Some day this week I should end up making a thread for game collecting. Collecting a bunch of useful info in a single place would be nice.
I love this series
