I may have indirectly helped shut down a massive meth lab in my town.

The reason I say indirectly is a long story, which is why I should probably start from the beginning.
A few months ago I moved out of my parents place and moved in with my brother, mostly for school reasons. And to get to and from class I have to either bike 4 miles to and fro from the school or take the bus. Now I decided to bike since it was faster than just waiting for the bus, and I began noticing a pattern for a particular house. During the day, the place seemed almost deserted, unlivable if you will. But after my late night classes, I noticed cars coming and going freely from the location. Being a criminal justice major, I was a little suspicious about activity like that.
Over the course of a few months, I noticed that the owner was a real big fan of fertilizers, which is funny because his home has no lawn, it has a dirt driveway and then rocks and dirt around the perimeter. Now I realized that this is quite suspicious, and then I realized that he couldn't possibly need all the fertilizer for a home grow job for Marijuana, so my only suspicion was that it was a Meth Lab. I eventually brought up the topic in my criminal justice course just before class with my professor, and she said that my suspicion is either right on the money, or completely off. She offered to file a report for suspicious activity, but I pretty much shrugged it off and went about my business as usual.
Now a few days ago my brother comes walking into my room saying how a meth lab on the street I go on every day got busted and was at least a million dollar operation. I asked him what the house looked like and he described the very house I was suspicious of. Now I'm not entirely sure if my findings were the cause for the bust, but it is possible concerning the amount of time between my initial realization and telling my professor, to the eventual bust. I'm not saying full well that I shut down a Meth Lab, but my instincts and powers of observation may have played a vital role in bringing down the lab, which just so happens to be less than a quarter of a mile away from a high school.
I thought the story would be interesting, and I guess the moral of my story is to always be aware of what is going on in your neighborhood, and to not be afraid to bring it up with someone who may be able to help, be it a teacher or your local police services.
I tried to find an article online that describes it better than I can, but the problem is the local news is mostly in news papers. I'll try and get a copy to scan for you guys, but right now I don't have any evidence to give you guys so you'll have to take my word for the moment.
Get a costume.

I'm not gonna go trick-or-treating at that place, you can forget that.
Noooo Walter White... :saddowns:

This story isn't really as exiting as I thought it would be.

Nice work.

I gave information about a local meth lab and it got shut down, it isn't like I shot the place up and arrested them myself.
Maybe next time though.

An explosion would have been nice. There is nothing wrong with lying in FP.
she said that my suspicion is either right on the money, or completely off..
Any other options left?
And OP, good job on solving it, even if it wasn't you, who busted it.

he was just trying to make enough money to support his family before cancer claimed his life! how could you?

She was thinking solely from circumstance, one of her students claims to know the location of a meth lab without any real supporting evidence, she said I was either right or wrong.
In this case though, I was right. And thanks, I'm just glad people are able to recognize the small and possibly insignificant information I gave was maybe enough to start an investigation (if they weren't in one already) to lead to the eventual bust that occurred.

Because Meth doesn't only ruin the users life, it ruins their families lives, it destroys the stability of the neighborhood, I was doing it for the betterment of society as a whole.

Pretty sure that was a reference to the show Breaking Bad
Now where will I get my meth...
It probably wasn't to do with you.
Also i wouldn't go around saying that it was you who reported it.

I'm not very good with television, so you'll have to excuse me on my lack of insight.

I never reported it or said I reported it, my teacher asked if I liked to and I refused.
You have done a bad thing.
You have done a bad thing.
Hey slow down here, I (may have helped) shut down a meth lab, not a Marijuana grow house or something that isn't harmful to people.
It's like Dark RP!
It's like Dark RP!
I don't even know what the hell that is.
It's like Dark RP!
Oh c'mon man.
Anyway, OP, good job there.
Lol, nice job there Banned for figuring it out, even if you didn't contribute. Sounded like a huge bust if it was 1 million.
It was an average bust for a lab, they usually don't keep the product around long enough for cops to grab it all.
Should of blackmailed them, get money, then report for fame
home grow job for Marijuana, so my only suspicion was that it was a Meth Lab
makes sense
makes sense
well yeah, it does
there are three things you can do with lots of fertilizer
weed
meth
bombs
wasn't weed, so meth or bombs
Maybe OP is a drug addict himself! He connected the numerous bags of fertilizer to drugs instead of thinking that maybe the guy wanted grass flooring in his house instead of paying for carpeting or wood panels! He couldn't be at the house all the time because he didn't want to ruin the fertilizer by stepping all over it.
Heisenberg is going to kill you now.
