Holly Leam-Taylor sent a cheeky request to a small number of female colleagues asking them to vote on the most attractive males at her Deloitte office in London. But the email - titled Deloitte First-Year Analysts' Christmas Awards - spread like wildfire over the internet and was soon under the glare of unimpressed bosses. The 22-year-old, from Surrey, resigned within 24 hours. The former Warwick University student said she sent out the email as a "light-hearted joke" to celebrate Christmas but conceded it damaged the firm's reputation. She began it by writing: "So girls... it's been nearly four months at Deloitte so I think we should have some sort of Xmas awards ceremony for us ladies about the stuff that really matters at work ie gossip/the boys! "This probably massively violates the HR equal opportunities policy, but never mind! It's all for a fun and a bit of a laugh." She went on to list a number of categories on which to vote, including Fittest Boy (looks), Fittest Boy (body) and Best Dressed Boy. She also invited colleagues to vote on Most Attractive 'Older Member' of Staff and The Official Deloitte First-year Analysts Girls' Man of The Year. A Deloitte spokesman told Sky News Online: "We are very disappointed by this matter. "While intended as a joke, this is a stark reminder of the need to exercise careful judgement when using email." Miss Leam-Taylor graduated with a 2:1 in Management and joined Deloitte on an estimated £25,000 a year.
I knew it, women are treacherous whores even to their own kind
If the email were sent by a guy about the most attractive women in the office then this would be about sexism :downs:
Haha.
If the email were sent by a guy about the most attractive women in the office then this would be about sexism :downs:
love the double standards
Its her own fault.
Lol only 25,000 a year.
The former Warwick University student said she sent out the email as a "light-hearted joke" to celebrate Christmas but conceded it damaged the firm's reputation.
Yeah, for a second there it almost sounded like the company employed humans, not robots in suits. Good thing we got that cleared up. NOW GET BACK TO WORK.
and this is news why
I don't really see what she did so wrong...?
love the double standards
And i love your avatar :q: But yeah, women can get away with sexism easier then men
women can get away with sexism easier then men
This man speaks the truth, right here. EDIT: Anybody found the e-mail chain?
People are treacherous whores even to their own kind
fixed that for you.
How is it that so many people are getting private emails and text messages circulated through the internet and the news?
Even though her job sucked, she overreacted a little bit.
She forgot the number one rule, never trust a woman to keep this under wraps. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=818318 Seriously, there's no discussing what would happen if a guy sent this email, because he wouldn't have blabbed about it to everyone and gotten caught in the first place.
Sounds like a job for kikkoman
*complains about how, if it was the other way around and a man had did this, it would be sexism" *is facepunch, and therefore is constantly sexist all the time* *doesn't notice any irony*
Lawl, women are just merciless about stabbing each other in the back.
Lawl, women are just merciless about stabbing each other in the back.
I know right fuck women :buddy: [editline]12:49PM[/editline]
She forgot the number one rule, never trust a woman to keep this under wraps. They're worse than us, they are 100 percent worse than us and I hate them I FUCKING HATE THME JESUS CHRIST I HATE THEM SCO MUCH edit: also, I'm not a fan of black people (User was banned for the above statement, and not any of the sexist trash that preceded it ("That's how we do things here" - Moderator))
I know right fuck women :buddy:
I do that just about every night.
I do that just about every night.
wow how clever you really've done something special with this post
Lol only 25,000 a year.
That's plenty to live on. I think the national average is like 15,000...
So who won?
I wonder how a private e-mail sent within a company spread outside to the rest of the internet.
She got a 2 1 at Warwick and only earns 25k? Fail.

But gossip amongst girls is ridiculous. It's proven in schools, society and in studies.
Since when were women allowed jobs?
