the fact that they took the time to point out that it'd be good for esports gives me hope that they're picking their market better this time. Local multiplayer Splatoon would be fucking great. Only problem is getting that many people to spend all their money.

i'm not holding my breath but i really hope it's wii U backwards compatible or at least there'll be some kind of price reduction for owners of wii U versions of games, since it looks like it's cartridge based (welcome back old friends)

looks good to me, plus that means when you have it hooked up to a TV you use traditional controls. Nintendo has the right idea here

Wow I am actually interested in that thing, I mean we basically knew it would be that mix between portable and stationary, but seeing it in action like that was pretty cool. Or am I confusing it?[/QUOTE] The Nvidia shield can do that too, but it has a Tegra X1 APU inside it which makes it pretty powerful on its own. The comparison makes sense.

Porting it to ARM won't be hard, it's not like anyone codes the entire game in assembly anymore.

The rumor is that it runs a pascal tegra GPU. Nvidia already gets PC games ported to run on their own tegra based console all the time.

Kinda excited for a Nintendo product for once. Hoping capcom don't find a way to keep reusing old assets from 2004 for monster hunter though considering the graphical upgrade of the system

It's Skyrim Special Edition anyways. It has optimizations that the original Skyrim doesn't have.

I'm not really sold on the entire "take the game with you" idea. It certainly makes it easier to bring it to, say, friends and play with them. But I wouldn't want to play Zelda on a such a small screen. Oh, well.
