COME ON AND RIDE THE HYPE TRAIN! CHOO CHOO!
Im fucking sold.
edit: I always wanted to have a console with the graphics of a stationary console but with the advantages of a handheld. Thanks Nintendo!

Maybe I forgot what it looked like but was that fucking Skyrim?
really surprised at that
the fact that they took the time to point out that it'd be good for esports gives me hope that they're picking their market better this time. Local multiplayer Splatoon would be fucking great. Only problem is getting that many people to spend all their money.
battery life must be a bitch though
Woah fucking portable skyrim
I'm sold
so its like a nvidia shield tablet with nintendo games
Except you can actually take it with you everywhere you go. Nvidia Shield only streams from your PC and you need to be close to it. Or am I confusing it?
i'm not holding my breath but i really hope it's wii U backwards compatible
or at least there'll be some kind of price reduction for owners of wii U versions of games, since it looks like it's cartridge based (welcome back old friends)
looks good to me, plus that means when you have it hooked up to a TV you use traditional controls.
Nintendo has the right idea here
HOLY FUCKS
Looks cool
A gimmick that WORKS.
I NEED IN MY LIFE.
The next few months will be a wild ride, my dudes
So the CPU is probably not ARM if it's able to run skyrim. (not talking about compute power, it's just going to be too hard to port it there)
Nintendo is now in the AMD's camp too?
Wow I am actually interested in that thing, I mean we basically knew it would be that mix between portable and stationary, but seeing it in action like that was pretty cool.
Thrilled to hear some more details.

Nintendo had ATi (AMD) GPUs since the GameCube. So they're not strangers to AMD.

I hope we can download the Wii U games from the eShop onto the NX/Switch because that's where 80% of my library is

No, they're right. It's basically like the shield.

The Nvidia shield can do that too, but it has a Tegra X1 APU inside it which makes it pretty powerful on its own.
The comparison makes sense.
cool cinematic looking games

They had Skyrim on Xbox 360, which was PowerPC, and on the PS3 which was a hot mess of an architecture. Porting it to ARM won't be hard, it's not like anyone codes the entire game in assembly anymore.

There's no reason an ARM cpu can't run a ported skyrim. The rumor is that it runs a pascal tegra GPU. Nvidia already gets PC games ported to run on their own tegra based console all the time.
Oof, that gameplay of Zelda looked a bit choppy.
Either way, I'll be sure to pick this up. Looks like a fine addition to my bag.
Kinda excited for a Nintendo product for once.
Hoping capcom don't find a way to keep reusing old assets from 2004 for monster hunter though considering the graphical upgrade of the system
It's Skyrim Special Edition anyways. It has optimizations that the original Skyrim doesn't have.
I wonder if this will be an upgrade from the Wii U when it comes to GPU/CPU power.
I'm not really sold on the entire "take the game with you" idea. It certainly makes it easier to bring it to, say, friends and play with them. But I wouldn't want to play Zelda on a such a small screen. Oh, well.

Then play it on a TV???
Wonder if there will be Nintendo DLC for Skyrim like Zelda stuff.

Yeah so better get a dedicated thing for playing a stationary game then.
