A mother and daughter who used an internet dating scam to steal $1.1m (£700,000) have been jailed for a total of 27 years.
Denver-based Karen Vasseur, 63, and daughter Tracy, 42, tricked victims into thinking they were talking to US service personnel looking for love.
The prolific scammers duped 374 victims in the US and 40 other countries.
"Not only did this mother-daughter duo break the law, they broke hearts worldwide," police said.
That's a face only the broadside of a warship could love.
I didn't realize witches were a real thing.
Thread title seems wrong to me. You made it seem that military personnel were getting scammed. They weren't scamming money from "lonely US service personnel", they got other people to think THEY(scammers) were in the military and needed money.
Did she sneeze before her picture was taken

Ah, I misread that part. My bad.
They look severely beaten up.
What bitches
Jesus Christ, link those images. That should be against the rules
The mother looks surprisingly happy.
At least I hope that's the mother.
Is this a new in thing or something? My grandmother just nearly got scammed by some guy impersonating someone in the Air Force. The guy really fucked up though by adding my mom on Facebook since my mom grew up on various air force bases and immediately picked up on the fact the guy was lazily googling shit to try and impress her into believing him.
Shit, even the drones are flying away in fear.

People like that are super-easy to spot by anyone in the service, from the service, or grew up around the service.
