Can anyone give me some tips or some steps? Stuff like that. We want to become a band, and since we're young, we won't start yet (our singers 13, and his voice doesn't sound mature). Any help would be nice. :D
jam together?
Do screamos.
Play anyway and get experience.
This is how you stop being dumbass kids who can't play shit.
Find a style you all like, Start covering some songs. Once you are comfortable with playing in a group, start writing material.

I think you take for granted how hard those "screamos" actually are.
get a drum machine

This.
If you're uncomfortable with your vocalist's voice, then do instrumentals. If you want, you can even cover songs with vocals, and then play the songs bar vocals. Basically you'll be doing instrumental versions of the songs. If you can do them well, people may actually want your tracks.
I know I'd like instrumental versions of a few songs. :buddy:
Just arrange a date to all go over to your friends house (preferably the one with drums). And just set up there. Start playing together, pickup a singer along the way and work with him. Do covers, then start writing stuff.
I'd definitely play some covers together. That's one thing that my friends never wanted to do and we were never fully comfortable playing with each other.
Cover some metallica songs...
NOT
Tell your singer to practice with deeper vocals. Good songs to start out with would be any form of music done by Nirvana. It will help you learn two things, singing a little bit, and teaches you how to power chord.
Also when writing music, remember all music is poetry writing with a musical status. This also comes into note that you should always be willing to try new things but never too quick. Adaption is key for successful bands. Never do drugs either.

Metallica is actually a bunch of power cording shit. They were cool till they began releasing shitty albums like Death Magnetic.

You're saying St. Anger, ReLoad and Load are better than Death Magnetic. Oh wow, you need to get your facts straight.
Anyway, I suggest you do covers. That's what I'm doing right now with my band.
All little kid bands start out with covers, specifically, Black Sabbath and Metallica
my friends covered Holy Wars, but that's because Megadeth are badass
There's one thing you should never do, and thats be desperate.
You can make a myspace and a youtube account for the band. But only advertise as needed, don't send random shitpost pm's and threads around the internet, it's bad marketing and people will think badly of you if you do so. If you advertise just a little bit, get some videos on insight, etc. The appropriate audience will come.
That's just my 2 cents

Lots of Metallica songs are power chord rhythms, yes, but so is most rock/metal...
It just has to be something you like to listen to/play that you can accomplish reasonably in order for it to be a cover...

Fuck dude, you need to learn your shit.
it's easier, jam to together as ________
you'll never be good though
I'm gonna toss in some tips if you want your band to at least make a few gigs.
-Start with covers, and when you get to know your sound, write some music.
-Don't hurry to think of a band name and/or logo, it's a waste of time you could be using on other band stuff like, you know, the music.
-Do your part. If you don't know a song well during a rehearsal, go home, listen to it a couple of times and play along. If that doesn't help, look for a TAB.
Yeah, Don't use the high pitched 13 year old as the singer.

no matter what genre you're playing, playing a few blink-182 songs will get you all comfortable
play music.

Exactly what my band did. It helps massively to just play some covers in the styles you want to move in before you start jamming or writing.

Easy songs help you along your way to harder stuff. My first song I learnt on drums was Linkin Park. Now I'm doing mostly melodeath music.
Make a pornogrind band.
Randomly bash on your instruments.
Call it music.

Yeah, but the point is that if you're going to learn simple songs, atleast learn something that can be classified as music. Like Nirvana or some other band with mostly simple songs
Do screamos.
Stop calling it fucking screamo, if you can get close to the sound death metal vocalists make I'll praise you. But I know you never will get close.

You know, he could actually be talking about screamo which has a very different vocal style to death metal.
