According to the Danish Tax Authority, SKAT, the Danish Treasury missed out on billions after Microsoft’s purchase of the Danish company Navision in 2002. SKAT has now issued the biggest back taxes bill in Danish history to Microsoft, amounting to nearly DKK 6 billion The Danish Tax Authority, SKAT, is currently in negotiations with Microsoft and the US tax authorities in an attempt to retrieve payment of this amount, reports DR2.
Source: http://www.dr.dk/Nyheder/Andre_sprog/English/2013/03/04/134509.htm This ain't gonna help Microsoft's rep AT ALL.

I bet Danes are happy. That's $269 for every Dane in Denmark.
As a dane, this probably won't even change anything :v: [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] But it would be nice to see public transport be less overpriced
Stay classy Microsoft.
As a dane, this probably won't even change anything :v: [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] But it would be nice to see public transport be less overpriced
As if that's going to happen lol
As if that's going to happen lol
It was cheaper and less hassle for me to buy my own car. Just shows how atrocious it's generally is.
Two days ago a friend and I escaped from a ticket checker dude, there's no way we would buy expensive tickets just to go a couple of stations :hehe:
It was cheaper and less hassle for me to buy my own car. Just shows how atrocious it's generally is.
Pretty much. And every six months, they raise prices a little and slash two departures on every route.
But it would be nice to see public transport be less overpriced
How can transport be bad in Danmark? Isn't it like very flat?
How can transport be bad in Danmark? Isn't it like very flat?
Properly because DSB is a bunch of incompetent wankers who have no idea on how to run a company properly?
I pay $50 a month and I can go anywhere I want pretty much. I don't know why you'd say public transport is bad in Denmark, it's better than a lot of other places. And DSB is running fine now, though it was pretty bad a few years back.
Properly because DSB is a bunch of incompetent wankers who have no idea on how to run a company properly?
And the trains can't hande weather.
Do you happen to live in a small town?
Yeah, Copenhagen. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
I don't know how it is in other places, but if you don't use the transport a lot and you don't go with the monthly ticket, then it's way more expensive than it should be.
Can't disagree with that. "Rejsekortet" should be cheaper than the stamp card (or what it might be called), and the month ticket is still pretty expensive - but I think you guys are kinda blowing it out of proportion.
Do you happen to live in a small town?
Unless you downright live in, or damn close to the center of one of the 10 (or so) biggest cities, then public transportation in general is shit. And then they complain about that not enough people actually uses public transportation
How expensive is the fine you get in other countries for riding the bus/train/whatever without a ticket? In denmark it's ~130$, which I think is a bit extreme. At least they could make it so you had warnings before getting a fine.
Jesus, that`s a lot of dosh.

[editline]Later[/editline] The trains are really vulnerable to ~weather~

Sadly, they sometimes hit people that in general remember their ticket.
Yeah, one day I completely forgot to stamp or whatever because I'm used to having the monthly ticket...750kr wasted :\
You guys have absolutely no clue how awesome the danish public transportation is compared to the rest of the world, quit bitching. Og jeg kan forresten ikke se problemet i at køre rundt i toge der har sparet sig sin egen pris i strømbesparelser på 30 år, og er langt mere sikre end hvad vi tøffer rundt i nu om dage.
You guys have absolutely no clue how awesome the danish public transportation is compared to the rest of the world, quit bitching.
Well obviously it's better than (for example) the US, but that's because of the mentality over there + a tiny bit of Reaganomics.
