Everyone should come and disucss how social networks has affected and how much penetration it has in our lives. Whats its future and is it safe to join or not. Put forward your thoughts.
It has penetrated deeply in many lives. [editline]16th January 2012[/editline] Are forums considered penetrating aswell?
The penetration of forums is not harmful I believe, but social networks penetration is not gud coz we share our everyday life activities minute by minute update.
stop saying penetration
Analbook.com [editline].[/editline] Personally i haven't been penetrated by a social network yet.
i agree, this penetration is such a pain in the ass
Fuck social networking. Seriously, what happened to meeting people normally?
i feel bad for all the people who share their phone numbers to public on facebook
id say this should be in the debates section but anyway, I don't use Facebook etc only twitter, i hate those people whose lives are dominated by the irrelevant and boring information that other users put on their "walls" such as announcing the current weather or making vindictive yet not direct comments about one another in order to indirectly make a point to the person who they are obviously going on about.E.g. "Hate people who are 2 faced" don't we all? your pathetic comment was clearly said in order to gain attention and to slander someone else. That is why I personally don't use Facebook, I'm not against it, I just don't like it.
Social penetration.
If you penetrate Facebook, you get aids.
Social networking has become a great influence in our lives. At first I really hated it and just thought that it was only another way of showing off and try to be cool with dumb pictures and stupid posts. It also depends on the people you add or are befriended with. Some post some ridiculous stuff and play some shitty games on there and send you requests. But you can customize your profile according to your needs. Now I am the the university and I am really glad to have an facebook account. Nearly everything is being managed over facebook. Students exchange homework and work together, post bout new parties and such things. It is truly a great way of spreading the word. For those people who actually say that you can't meet people normally in person, that is not true. You are not being forced to use facebook. You still can meet people in a normal way.

The thread went to shit on the first page. I think that must be a penetrating record.
[QUOTE=Profanwolf;34242739]The people who still wouldn't meet people normally are the ones who complain about social networks.[/QUOTE] I agree and this thread should be in mass debate. For instance if I meet people for the first time it is in real life. Later on I might add them and we can exchange messages and other stuff to keep each other up to date about upcoming events and such. Besides chatting was always fun with friends, no wrong in that.
The only social network I can think of where you'd be penetrated is Second Life. That's why I'm on it 10 hours a day. (not really why)
"Social networks" don't consume any of my time, however I have been a chatroom junkie since the late 90s.
Facebook has allowed many people to penetrate me against my will.
