Nope. Educational and informative dialogues don't sell nearly as well as biased, ignorant fear-mongering. It's not just a "GAMES ARE SATAN'S TOOLS" thing, either, you see it with racial/sexual-issue and conflict news reporting as well.
Dumbasses buy into "FEAR AND HATE EVERYTHING DIFFERENT THAT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT", and they always have throughout history, from the first concepts of racial, gender, religious and class superiority/inferiority to the modern "(media form X) is responsible for all of society's ills!" bullshit.
All you can do is not listen, inform yourself as much as possible before forming opinions, and try to tell those you care about to do the same, rather than letting them get suckered in.
These people make it hard to take rape accusations seriously.

I was playing this mod for Warband called "Persistent World" for the first time years ago. I was a female character, as my friends and I were going to be a band of roaming female bandits.
So I didn't know shit about the mod and was asking for help in the square on how to buy things. This guy led me away from the square where you buy things to a home.
We went inside where he said "Take off all your clothes and drop your weapons and dance for me". So I took my clothes off but said "give me a second, im figuring out how to drop my weapon". He was unarmed, so I attacked him with my small knife and murdered him.
An admin came over to me and said "Rdm?" (random). I replied "No, attempted rape." It was fucking hilarious.
