They march like fucking idiots.
This guy is excellent. I watch a lot of Documentaries and the North Korea ones are really interesting, but I HATE HATE HATE when they get dumbasses who feel like they NEED to make themselves giant fucking targets.
This guy feeds his tour guides ego. "Wow, what a great country. You know, people find out when I'm going to North Korea and they go "No, no North Korea is a horrible place" but here I am and it's a great country and everyone is having fun. I don't get it, I really don't get it."
Obviously, we the audience know he's lying but it's interesting to see what the guide says when the delusional tourist says these things. And in extension he's keeping himself safe and the guides trust him a bit more.
We've all seen the Vice Guide, for example or a number of other self-made documentary where they go there TO MAKE TROUBLE instead of just documenting it. Like they go to a memorial in one of the documentaries so instead of being respectful the Americans climb up onto a statue of a bull and pretend to ride it whilst being absurdly annoying. Or in the Vice Guide when during karaoke night he picks the song "ANARCHY" and SCREAMS the lyrics.
Even if I hire a tour guide to take me around Paris I'm not going to spend the entire time criticizing their economy or their political leaders. You're there to absorb the culture, not brutally refute it. Especially when you could be prosecuted for it in North Korea.
ITT: The way not to have you camera taken away and your body never located.
North Korea is such an intriguing country. I could watch documentaries on them all day
