Nerf is a type of toy made out of the trademark orange foamy material, that was originally used to make an indoor ball.

Nowadays the Nerf line also includes dart guns, footballs, and basketballs that are all suitable for indoor use.
Nerf guns shoot little darts made out of the Nerf material, and are most notably used for the famous Nerf wars that occur in office buildings and university dorms across the globe.
The current range of nerf blasters is the N-strike collection

Not listed in there is the Raider CS-35, just recently released

Also not on that list for obvious reasons are new Nerf guns that are soon to be released or are being considered for release:
Spartan NCS-12 - due for release fall 2009

The following nerf guns are now pending patents:

Lastly, my Nerf collection, very minimal at the moment mind you:

I remember buying my nephew a machine gun variant, came with a box of ammunition and it had a belt feed system.

The Vulcan?

I want that one so bad.
I laughed at the original Nerf ball.

Aren't nerfs like, for kids?
Aren't nerfs like, for kids?
Yea,
Doesn't stop me from wanting a weapon replica type of thing.
Looks like these guns really got nerfed.

What does that even mean
I was at a cast party a few months ago, and during the party, a bunch of us had a HUGE nerf gun fight. It was completely epic.
What does that even mean
Its to reduce the effectiveness of something. The term originated from the brand name Nerf.
It makes alot more sence if you read this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerf_(computer_gaming)

Looks like the article was nerfed.

If you open the guns up and remove the air restrictor, these things pack quite a punch. Then what you do is find some of that heat-shrink cable-wrap and fill an end with that foam insulation from a can for some cheap, fast-flying darts.

Does anyone know where to get nerf in australia?
The Vulcan sucks. My brother's got one, it jams all the time and it's frustrating to use. I've stuck with my Maverick and this little pistol thing with a laser built into it.
What fun it would be to work as a design engineer for nerf.
Finally, they manufacture assault rifle-equivilants. Never understood the need to only manufacture underpowered pistols and complicated, expensive, heavy, ammo-eating HMGs.
By which I mean the Vulcan. Nothing has or ever will say "not bought with your money" as loudly.
Nerf Maverick fuck yeah.
I've always liked the larger ones, but I hate how they only use streamlined darts. Streamlined darts don't fly as far because they're lighter, which is ironic. Hopefully the newer ones will correct this.
Still, the Maverick is a classic. I love my Maverick, even though it's getting old.
I like that dev concept for the thing that looks like a grenade launcher.

I do as well. The Raider CS-6 gun looks pretty cool as well. It reminds me of some old WW2 british Smg, with the side loading.
I have a Firefly REV-8 and a old machine gun.

It's based off the German WWII FG42, according to Wikipedia, which may or may not be correct. Anyway, yeah, it also says it can take the CS-6 magazines, which means I could do that CS-6 mag extension mod and get a bar mag for it.
The BullSharc looks like it'd be comfortable to hold. I want it.

No that's the raider CS-35 you're thinking of.

The CS-35 you posted says CS-6 on the side, so I figured you were wrong

Hurr. :P
But in all seriousness, The cs-6 kinda reminds me of the Sterling SMG.
I'm still interested in the BullSharc - do they intend to produce it or is it for that Nerf game on the Wii? Because if it's the latter, I'll be disappoint.
Damn I want a nerf gun! I have no idea where I can buy one though :(

It's possible. If they don't I will be as dissapointed as you.
Kinda looks like the Milkor MGL doesn't it?

I think the bullsharc is made to be a gnade launcher, It's quite reminiscent of it.
