I wish there was a thrift show nearby even though I live in the middle of a city.
After seeing this i searched nearest thrift shops here, couldnt find any :(
At 3:08 it remind me that i found the Age Of Empire DS box that i loved playing in my brother chamber, but when i opened the box, i got English Training cartridge.
The last time I went to a Thrift/Charity shop, I've found the Sierra release of the first Half-Life, Rome Total War Gold Edition and W40k Dawn of War for £1-2 each and in really good condition as well
at a local thirft store I've found some amazing shit, found an original copy of half life 1 with a cd key not registered to steam, THREE super nintendos, 2 ps1's, (regular and slim) a NES, a Dreamcast, a fucking DS Lite, and shitloads of old games for these consoles.
Countless pc games too.
and nobody that works there knows the value of old game stuff so all of these consoles cost me about 5 dollars each, that includes the games that they were boxed with, all of them work too.
I bought a ds lite and a box of gba games (no ds games oddly) for 5 dollars, I still can't believe it, I fucking love thrift stores.
This series inspired me to start thrifting.
So far I've found a boxed deluxe copy of Diablo 2, Tomorrow Never Dies and a boxed copy of Enemy Territory Quake Wars.
$4 for everything in total
I literally haven't found a single good thrift shop in Estonia. All of them sell clothes.
All of them, they rarely have an electronics area and if they do its filled with broken cables.
I've found some pretty good stuff thrifting myself. Gamecube with all the cables included for $15, NFS Most Wanted and Underground on PS2 for 5 bucks, Silver PS2 slim with all the cables for $15.
my goodwill is pretty much 98% clothes
Series makes me want to go and visit another car boot sale, its basically a giant thrift store in the middle of a field fulled with treasures.

oh! i think we have something similar here called a flea market! I've found all sorts of neat goodies at those!
Been going around car boots for some years now, first console stuff then I went to PC stuff as my interests changed. Usually some good stuff for £1, games from the Sold-Out range are usually what I find but I can find other things occasionally. Shown one of my resent hauls to LGR and it ended up in this episode, pretty awesome.

Look for a DVD/VHS/CD section for games. I found GTA III that way.

Tallinn is a very small city relatively speaking. I've been to most thrift shops here.
Either there's something that I'm missing (a different kind of store entirely, some hidden gem) but so far I haven't found anything interesting.
There's literally fuck all in any charity/thrift stores in perth most if they get retro stuff stick it on ebay or keep it hidden and the places that do sell stuff is massively overpriced.
I remember once I found a complete unopened boxed copy of Unreal Tournament 1999 in a Goodwill.
It's great when a good will or second hand store doesn't understand what they have and they sell it for cheap.
I actually found a copy of Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition. Fully boxed, manual and all. $4
Best part is I got it registered into Origin thanks to Customer Support, AND got a 15% discount code.
Sweet
Only time I went to a thrift shop I found MYST for like $2.
Also when I was helping out at a food pantry, someone for some reason donated a copy of Rome: Total War (new in box) with the food they gave, and the guy in charge said I could keep it, since obviously it was of no help to the food pantry.
I don't even bother going to goodwill, mine are absolutely nothing like his. It's all clothes and housewares. With a TINY media section that has music in it.
