Ukrainian citizens will be able to travel to most EU countries without a visa, European Council President Donald Tusk has announced.
He said the country had met relevant standards "perfectly" and in the coming weeks EU officials would work out how the scheme will be implemented.
The announcement was made at a meeting of Ukrainian and EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday.
At least one promise is fullfiled.
A good win for Ukraine, grats.
I think that Ukraine joining the EU would have only mutual benefits for Europe and Ukraine and would make Eastern Europe have a bigger voice in the union.
This is good for civilians in Ukraine, and terrible in terms of the black market. It'll be the Balkan Route all over again.

I think you are right. Sadly I feel there might be a lot of weapons from the Ukraine war that might get in the wrong hands.

I haven't heard of a significant increase in gun violence in Ukraine itself, at least in the parts of Ukraine that aren't involved in the war, I don't think there's much reason to fear that.
keep that spot warm for us Ukraine, we'll be back soon ;_;
hey thats pretty nice
Won't people smuggling and mafia be an issue? It's a nice gesture but Ukraine has some deeper issues which need to be addressed I think

Yep, the country is far from stable. EU just keeps adding more problems to it's own.
