I had no idea such a procedure existed, although it makes sense considering all the things we can do nowadays. What shocked me was despite the obvious complications, she still had some trepidation about getting the procedure done.
Also, learning the surgeon was transgender caught me by surprise. I would never have guessed.
Wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the video. The area looks extremely... raw. I can't believe that these operations are done when the girls are kids. I hate the fact that my dick was cut but at least I was too young to remember how it went.
At least there's a surgery for the women affected. Maybe someday biomedical tech will allow for regrowth of removed genitalia on both men and women.
why has the internet desensitized me to blood and gore and horrible things
but i still get grossed out at vagina surgery
Looking forward to a day when this is standardized.

I imagine it is an unpopular opinion here but I have been circumcised and, I feel, none the worst for it. No medical complications, no sexual issues, no lack of feeling. I understand that with what is happening in the video is really wrong because of the medical complications it causes but the male version doesn't 'appear' to have nearly the same scale of issues.
I understand that the circumcision of a boy at birth is technically a completely unnecessary one, but ultimately it is the parent's choice. I don't think it can be really argued otherwise because it is the parent's choice to give children vaccines (even if it is something that is ~100% beneficial the parent's can still be allowed to choose otherwise).
All this being said, if male circumcision was suddenly outlawed I wouldn't give two shits, but I just cannot comprehend why people get bent out of shape about it being allowed to exist. I can understand why this form of female circumcision is terrible because it effects this woman's ability to maintain herself.
More power to you if you want to grow back your foreskin but I personally just don't care if I were to never get mine back. Even if I could I probably wouldn't get it back.

inb4 this sparks a debate of cut vs uncut.
I was cut after birth as well, and I resent it. My sensitivity is lacking. I cannot cum from sex, I don't have much feelings down there.
So you could say I'm the opposite of what you are.
Circumcision is NOT a choice that parents should have. It's taking a part of your body, and cutting it off just because of a religious or so called 'health' precautions.
That's a load of shit. Clean your junk, don't fuck like a manwhore. Simple, problem solved with most bullshit about a uncut penis. As for Phimosis, I'm not sure how that is resolved. I'm sure there are procedures that can start young, so it doesn't happen when you're older.
I WISH, I really WISH that I could get reverse male circumcision, but I'm afraid it'll leave my penis looking worse, or that something might go wrong, knowing my luck.

restoration in either FGM or MGM is never really a full restoration. the 'foreskin' you get back after male foreskin restoration is not really anything like the foreskin that was there at birth :/

The thing is, are you sure its from the circumcision? Plenty of people are circumcised who dont have that problem, and plenty of uncut do have that problem. Could have sadly got the short end of the stick when it came to your dick.
How would a reverse male circumcision even fix any of those problems you listed as well? Seems like it doesnt matter if you have a foreskin or not with something like that.

Yes, I'm sure it is. Lacking sensitivity is from my exposed head being tarnished from not using lube for masturbating. If I had foreskin, I'd be a lot more sensitive, even throughout dry masturbation.
Foreskin restoration would help cover the head, and, the time taken off from the procedure would help sensitivity be regained. I imagine a lot of other things as well, but I wouldn't know.

There is a way to actually reform your foreskin iirc

Also the way the vice reporter doesn't have both straps tied on her facemask bothers me. Do you think the bottom ones are there for nothing, lady? You can still contaminate a sterile field by talking and having all your breath along with particles etc go down and out the bottom of your mask
Man I don't think I could ever be a surgeon, props to these people for having the gall to do it.
I'd without a doubt just stand there frozen, mouth agape behind my surgical mask at the nasty shit that gets done.
Man I'm really glad such a procedure is possible. Must suck horribly to have such a large part of your human being, your sexuality, damaged for religious nonsense.
Same goes for male cutting, except for the effects are less severe, and it's easily reversible.

female cutting isnt religious, its cultural
female cutting isnt religious, its cultural
Yes, but religion has had it's influences on culture. It's a question of which was first, the chicken or the egg.
Male circumcision is done, even in America, because of religiously inspiration. It's the cause that it seeped into American culture.
Same goes with female cutting.
whatever.
Ok, the reason explained in the video on the purpose of female cutting, is 1. tradition, 2. to encourage/remind her to stay abstinent until after marriage. She literally says female cutting is nowhere to be found in her religion.
its definitely not the same case at all for religious male circumcision. the purpose isn't even the same.

FGM came before the main religions we know of today to let you. So it wasn't influenced by religion, but some Islamic sects do support FGM.
That doctors sex change was extremely effective. I wouldnt have known if she didnt say it.
