So is complextro just electrohouse with extra synths in the drops?
So is complextro just electrohouse with extra synths in the drops?
Not exactly, electro house usually takes about 3-5 synths after the drop, whereas complextro usually has like 20+ synths.
Awful intro. The next time I hear a house song with a drum beat intro I might jump off a bridge.. The drums the whole way through feel a bit.. meh. They're not very alive, kinda flat and lifeless. Synth strings are quite nice. Drop doesn't fit the intro.. feels really out of place (and not really funky like your other stuff). Couple of the synths are a little weak, hard to explain which one but yeah. I just take umbridge to having to listen to 1.40 of music before anything interesting happens.. the whole song is important, not just the drop. Every second of audio should be sheer delight to the listener, not a boring slog to the bit they're interested in hearing. It's still got potential, just needs a lot of work.
i like the trance-esque drop, but the complextro thing doesnt really fit at all, maybe have a more drawn out buildup to it where the synths come into it slowly and steadily, but also ensure that the mixdown remains as full as the trance section because it sounds like you're mixing two songs into it which dont really fit the trance bit had me going and i really enjoyed it, and my personal view on the drums are that they perhaps aren't the most innovative in the world but they work, and i can deal with a drummy intro. work on your sounds altogether and make composition a practice from now on, because you've got some aspects done really well and others not so much- which shows alot of potential from a producer.
