OLD CONTENT STARTS HERE
So, last night I was hit on the head by riot police, here in Alexandria, Egypt; Today I can't see as much and am aching all over. My vision might be blurry, but I feel enlightened.
Things had started out as a peaceful march at Almanshya Square, everything went well, and although surrounded by riot police, they did pretty much nothing other than set up blockades in our way, ones we either completely evaded by going in and out of back-streets and alleys, or just got through by dividing the march and surrounding THEM.
We had walked a long way (probably over 6KM) in the direction of the governor's building, by then we numbered in thousands, where we had planned a peaceful sit-in, but they turned this into an all-out confrontation when they used brute force against us. The situation soon developed into a rock-throwing contest on both sides, soon followed by residents throwing empty glasses and bottles at them from their balconies to aid us, it all ended when they brought armoured vehicles and started shooting warning rounds into the air. Our march didn't make it, but others did.
Thankfully I was wearing a pair of steel-capped boots, they do work well vs. riot police indeed.
The situation is developing too fast to keep up, even skynet wouldn't be able to keep up with all the shit going on all over the country atm; so I doubt I'll be updating this much.
I will now leave you with a few videos that show what happened in Egypt (mainly Cairo) yesterday on the 25th of January, 2011; and continue my efforts to hook up with a new march in the city.
Yesterday they blocked twitter and all of the opposition newspapers, today they blocked facebook too (where this was planned and born), I'm using HTTPS over Tor, so I'm not worried much, unless they pull the plug.
Oh, and the stock exchange crashed today, and Anonymous are fucking up our government's web sites, all the power to you, my good internets.

We're under the emergency law for 29 years today, where you have virtually no rights and can be arrested and possibly disappear any moment just for not looking right in the eye of a cop, how about that?
Another reason would be our constitution, which gets selectively applied every now and then, but never when it conflicts with someone with a connection, how about that?
Another possible reason would be this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khaled_Mohamed_Saeed and countless others that went forgotten.
Update:
They're cutting off the internet from entire districts at Cairo, and will possibly start bringing phones down soon.
The army has been deployed to Al-Mansoora region.
They're bringing out female cops to arrest female protesters now, apparently they can't keep up with the numbers. 28 hours straight in service this morning and no other reserves, I think the military will step up soon, I hope they join us like in Tunisia, if not, I guess we'll just have to deal with it.
shit, too much to write and so little time.
punch them in the face
Shut the fuck up AlphaGunman.
oh wow.
Thing is, if they kill there population, there is no country.
holy shit

Futility of existence.
I wish you best of luck, dealing with this stuff I only could wish I was brave enough to do myself. Good luck out there, take care. Freedom is worth it.
I hope your protest succeeds, it sounds like almost anything beats your government. I just hope that whoever comes to power next actually cares about the people.
Those riot cops have no idea what they're doing. They run in mobs, they spread out into the crowd, throw rocks, and seem to have no real idea what they're doing.
Ideally they would be in intimidating lines, with shields out in front.
PRO TIP: To make a flamethrower, fill a regular water gun with windshield washing detergent, tape a lit match to the front, and pull the trigger. Depending on the gun, it can go 5 to 15 feet.
You should use an Eye Drop to cure your blindness. You can find them at any item shop.
Looks like fun, don't die OP.

Well good luck and hope you guys can settle this peacefully

The riot police hasn't slept in 28 hours (estimated this morning, now probably over 32), and they have no reserves to cover for them, they're getting more tired and clumsy by the moment, and that's why they're so nervous and even trigger-itchy at times.

We're known for vigilante justice but we're not offensive, in a country where law doesn't solve daily conflicts often; we do what is right, any pick-pocket in a bus can testify.
We're doing this in self-defense, not in offence, if shit truly hits the fan, we usually start throwing flaming gas canisters down balconies and blow shit up.
But that can only happen if the military doesn't side with us when the time comes, and if, and only if they start mass-murdering people, which I strongly doubt could ever happen. We have a strong military that every Egyptian is proud of, and their code of honour is adamantine.
