Unconventional / Theoretical Weapon Systems & Potential Applications

Consider for a moment, what weapon systems are you aware of that could be deemed such? May that be weapons platforms like laser or plasma based systems. Perhaps rail guns or even particle projection systems are the way to go in your perspective...
The technological world is a great deal further down the proverbial path in terms of such weapon systems then many realize.
So what systems / concepts do you prefer?
What do you know about these systems?
Where do you think they would find their niche?
I for one see potential in plasma for various purposes, even though it is by nature scattered and unfocused it is my belief that because plasma can manipulated via magnetic means that above mentioned nature is compensated for. It is also because of this magnetic manipulation that possibilities for both shielding and projectile systems thrive along with many other concepts.
Plasma is terrible. use bio-mass, it's more efficient and destructive.
A gun that shoots scathing-hot coffee at peoples dicks
I know that getting coffee on your dick is worse than being tazed ten times
Riot cops could use this technology to burn peoples dicks
antimatter bombs
Cloaking.
:ninja:
T rex Fighter pilots. BAM
Just got one thing to say.
Warhammer 40,000.
Proton bomb
I like the idea of railguns and kinetic bombardment.

Define "bio-mass" and perhaps I'm missing something however I'm not seeing nearly as many applications should you be talking about what I think you are.
What great timing, I just finished Mass Effect for the first time (I know, I'm late).
That being said, rail guns. If a sustainable method of powering them is created, they will revolutionize weapon systems.
Edit: What JohnnyMo1 said.
I remember a gun in one of the Ratchet and Clank games that'd summon a disco-ball and make the enemies dance.
I'd subsidise that shit.

Rotting corpses.
Goes great ontop of a fortress.

As far as power sources go to my knowledge we're already on our way in that respect.
An idea I had some time ago being combining the "firepower" of plasma with a launching system of a rail gun. Past that you would only need a way to keep the plasma focused after launch.
Rods from god.
That shit's cool.
Biomass is a living chemical concoction capable of reproducing itself. It can be converted into an explosive, a self-propelled projectile, etc.
Riding a motherfucking mech dinosaur.

Ahh, now I see what your saying, although admittedly I'm not entirely sure as to how one would make wide scale use of such a system in a variety of environments where everything from other life to climate could have an effect on such an organism.
I still like the concept of using rail gun technology to propel plasma, as for focusing the plasma I suppose along with the plasma a slug of sorts could be deployed with the plasma to retain the desired traits of the projectile whilst in transit.
Just an idea off the top of my head.
a gun that shoots pure love and happiness
I remember seeing a while ago a directional speaker/sound broadcaster what-not on the history channel. Not really a weapon but more non-lethal control. It is said that anyone who hears it drops whatever they are holding and covers their ears with their hands. Also, it's only heard by the people that it is being pointed at.

Directed sound tech, I know what your talking about though I can't seem to remember a specific name.
Speaking of non-lethal tech there was a projected energy system a saw some time ago that only barely penetrated the skin and made it feel as though you were being plunged in boiling water. Completely harmless and extremely painful. One hell of a deterrence system, huh?
I liked the district nine guns that had the same effect as the mars attacks guns... you know, the "pops people instantly" type of thing. That stuff is money.
That or a plamsatic projectile launched with the railguns style, mounted on warships that explodes on contact as well as delivering the plama beams... yesh.
Railguns are already well on their way to being weaponized.
Wikipedia Copy/paste:
"On January 31, 2008 the US Navy tested a railgun; it fired a shell at 2,520 m/s with an energy of 10.64 MJ.[15] Its expected performance is over 5.8 km/s muzzle velocity, accurate enough to hit a 5 meter target over 250 nautical miles (370 km) away while shooting at 10 shots per minute. It is expected to be ready in 2020 to 2025.[1]"
If they're right, it could fire a shell at about 17 times the speed of sound. That's REALLY fucking fast compared to ANYTHING of that mass we can fire. And the shell is like 90mm if I remember correctly. Ridiculous.

People who made it could only stand it for around thrity seconds, and there were some pretty beefy men there.... not that muscle mass necessarily means your more durable.

"Plamsatic"
"Warships"
"Plama beams"
This man knows what he's talking about.

And very accurate for a cannon.... Now we need to shoot cows and see if they break apart in mid flight...
I mean launch the cows from the gun, not shoot at them of co9urse. And you'd need to harness them into a rather large metal harness for the railgun to launch em', but still.

They're also working on mounting rail guns on humvees in place of machine guns, a demo I've seen showed a test fire. Yeah it definitely lives up to the rail gun reputation. Though I gotta agree with you that such a system may be put to better use on ships if for nothing else then ammo, power source, and sheer volume of high velocity fire. Hah.
P.S. It's going to be a good bit sooner then that.
