Washington (CNN)The reality of climate change is an open question, President-elect Donald Trump said in an interview aired Sunday.
"Nobody really knows" if climate change is real, Trump said in the "Fox News Sunday" interview, when host Chris Wallace asked the incoming President where he stands on the environment.
"I'm still open-minded. Nobody really knows. Look, I'm somebody that gets it, and nobody really knows. It's not something that's so hard and fast."
Donald Trump seems to be a walking Dunning-Kruger effect.
I want to die
oh fuck off
Nobody really knows if lava kills you, either. We better find out. Who wants to jump in?
What do you mean we can use SCIENCE to determine things without waiting to see for sure if they happen?
What a braindead moron. Can't wait for this guy to lead the free world.
Donald Trump is such a fucking idiot it honestly boggles my mind.
And then I remember that people fucking voted him in and it basically sends me into a trance.
It's like the ending of 2001 a space odyssey

To a T
memes really are becoming real
Who fucking cares if its real or not. No matter what the thing that will have the best possible outcome is making the world a cleaner place, because even if it's false you end up with... a cleaner world. And if it is true and you prepared, you end up far less worse off than if you didn't.
like this mentality of "ehh, probably isn't real anyways!" is actually the most retarded thing I've ever seen

they care more about money, which comes from fossil fuels, and not caring about what you harm in the process.
you guys realize this behavior solidifies Obama's legacy more than anything by having experts endorseing existing policy, and after 4 years the republican base will be the first to hang trump

why do you think this?
why do you think this?
Because Trump doesn't give a shit about any thing any experts have to say
something history will remember
why do you think this?
because, say hillary won. then the narrative will be that after 8 years america chose to not give Republicans a chance; and we are forced to endure another 4 years of Democratic presidency.
today, the narrative is simply that trump is nuts and clearly GOP platform is NOT in best interest to common man.

Wouldn't surprise me in a few decades after the whole climate change shit happens, the dude's reputation would be comparable to hitler.

not even close, actually

Part of climate change denial is that they don't think the world is getting dirtier (or they pretend not to). They think that they're only pissing in a sea of [del]piss[/del] water.

Pretty much the logic of "I DON'T see it, therefore it isn't true"
its like, a fucking moon sized comet it heading to earth and is 100% going to destroy the entire planet within a decade... but I don't see it so it isn't true
You know I was going to try and write something witty or funny about Trump but honestly after thinking about how stupid that statement actually is I cant be bothered to put in more effort than Trump is putting into his presidency.
no actually you don't get it, there are plenty of people including your climate skeptic secretary of state who damn well know and have known for decades that its happening and is real. they paint this picture where at best they will not compromise between growth, jobs and climate change but it doesnt have to be that way green energy growth has massively outpaced oil consistently
Holy shit, why can't this retard just fucking die already?
It's sad to think Trump actually is the president of USA.
I want to die
Trump is going to cut Millennials' life expectancy by 1/3rd so you'll have that wish granted sooner than you think.
He's like a living cartoon. I'd enjoy the schadenfreude of a Trump presidency if his policies weren't likely to drastically reduce my quality of life. I'm a bad person, I know.
Fuck every thought that's ever passed through Donald Trump's neolithic shit-pile of a frontal cortex.
It's like the ending of 2001 a space odyssey
And like 2001, we have a Nietzschean struggle between Apollo (god of science, rationalism, and discipline) and Dionysus (god of stupidity, chaos, and instinct). Except it's not allegorical-- this is man who is apparently going to be out leader and the leader of the free world acting like a gigantic fuckwit yet again.
It's as infuriating as it is terrifying.
Look, I'm somebody that gets it, and nobody really knows.
Evidently you don't, dipshit. Hey Trump, maybe check your facts from a better source than Breitbart.
Hypocritical prick, he stated once it was a real problem because one of his golf courses might go under if sea level rises.
Fucking nice how one of the most influential and progressive Presidency as of late, is on its way to get trumpled over by, what seems to, the worst upcoming president of the last couple decades.
Nobody really knows gravity exists. Keep an open mind. There's dissent amongst scientists, after all. We don't know yet.
Whatever. Private industry and other countries like China has already put the boot into fossil fuels, it's only a matter of time. Just now it might take a bit longer than before.
Unless Trump specifically legislates to punish green energy somehow.
Shit, he'd probably do that, wouldn't he?
"If you look at what -- I could name country after country. You look at what's happening in Mexico, where our people are just -- plants are being built, and they don't wait 10 years to get an approval to build a plant, okay?" he said. "They build it like the following day or the following week. We can't let all of these permits that take forever to get stop our jobs."
1. Permits are almost always a state issue, not federal.
2. The reason why manufacturing is moving to Mexico is because people there will work for a dollar an hour with no benefits, and CEOs and shareholders want to keep their multi-million dollar paycheques intact.
I'm not sure what's worse, Trump being too stupid to realise that yep, climate change is definitely thing, as scientists have had a consensus on for the past several decades, or Trump knowing it's real but saying and acting otherwise for that sweet, sweet corporate cash.
I guess the end result is the same either way.
