I spy with my little eye... weight reductions?
I spy with my little eye... weight reductions?
I sure hope they applied weight reduction on it. Previous gen is about 200kg lighter than a Hellcat. The way I see it, if they reduced the weight at least a 30%, coupled with the extra 20hp, that'd make a significant difference already.
Looks gorgeous like every other GTR before it. I'll probably never own one of the new ones but I'd like to get my hands on an R34 one day, beautiful cars.
Nice front bumper. Other than that it's a standard R-35
Not a fan of how it looks, not a fan of the R-35 either. I prefer the R-34
It still looks like a really pissed off chipmunk.
I am super happy the chief engineer has a 600hp R32, dude has taste. The new style not only looks better, it probably has a better drag coef than the previous versions, which were already insane.
I want to lick it
I can't wait for the new Honda NSX or the Tesla Model 3.
Man, I can't wait to one day drive a car like this. And by "like this", I mean not ancient. I've never had the chance to drive anything made after 2003.

I love how understated and subtle BMW's looks are. Pure automotive engineering genius packaged in a tasteful package. mmm
this... kind of just looks like a slightly curvier version of the R35 ? i guess the difference is under the hood, because i'm not really convinced about those looks

There was a magazine article with him standing in front of his r32 which had mid night club stickers
He was in the mid night club if im thinking of the right person. There was a magazine article with him standing in front of his r32 which had mid night club stickers
Wow, if that's true that's fascinating.
Wow, if that's true that's fascinating.
Ive been struggling to find thr picture for so long now. It will be in my post history in an old cars thread but the history only goes back about 5 pages
I can't wait for the new Honda NSX or the Tesla Model 3.
new nsx is a turd
Gnarly looking car. Too bad I'll never have one unless I decide to pass on owning a home.
It looks less like a 350Z and more like an R34 this time. I like it
I can't wait for the new Honda NSX or the Tesla Model 3.
I agree, while I like this car, the NSX has always been the most attractive car to me
I agree, while I like this car, the NSX has always been the most attractive car to me
I like it too, that's why it's my main racecar in Need For Speed [t]http://i.imgur.com/flsLWmu.jpg[/t]
I aim to get a BMW ///M 235i in the next few years. Thing's a fucking beast.
oh so you aspire to be an asshole?

It would be 6 min on the nurburgring if it had a lot less weight. Hence why I love the sesto elemento. 4wd, gallardo engine, and weighs only a tonne. Thing's faster than the new hybrids, but its also void of luxury, limited production, and expensive. [editline]27th March 2016[/editline]
new nsx is a turd
Its got the performance figures, apparently MIGHT be better than a gtr because no turbo lag and real torque vectoring or whatever, but its ugly as fuck and sounds meh. [editline]27th March 2016[/editline]
I love how understated and subtle BMW's looks are. Pure automotive engineering genius packaged in a tasteful package. mmm
Bmws get less subtle as soon as they land on some yob's hands, or get any M performance shit. Also, literaly every bmw driver up to like 40 years old, is a huge cock of an ass who buys a bmw because he thinks its THE car brand and everything else sucks and is beneath it. It apparently gets to the point of the car doing the fucking for them, and I do mean this almost completely literaly. Friend of mine has a smoking hot ex who's the obvious gold digger type, but who is conflicted between him and her current boyfriend. Why? Because he has an e46 coupe which is apparently really good. The dude is the biggest moron ever. He threatened my buddy with 2 tonnes of car on top of him (because he apparently can't do it himself), lost his well paying job at a Renault assembly plant because a couple of girls made fun of his bmw and he clocked one of them, has been violent to his gf many times (hence her doubt), and apparently is such a dud that whenever he fucks with her, he gets so tired that he doesn't do it again for two weeks or more. In short, he's a colossal fucking moron who lives in his car's shadow. Which is sad that bmws get this bad image. I especially love the e46 m3. Everything's just right. Size, power, looks, fun...
Its sad that people have what they think of the owners of the car define what they think of the car itself It's a given that most BMW drivers are cockheads but is it that hard to judge the car on its own merits
I'm not really a car buff but this looks like every other modern GTR I've seen. I even googled it and found some random comparison on the internet and they look almost identical:

Are they trying to sell it as an entirely new generation of the GT-R?
Tbh I thought it was a facelift with slight upgrades in performance? Are they trying to sell it as an entirely new generation of the GT-R?
I think that's exactly what it is. This is no R36. Facelifts and small upgrades like this are a regular practice in the automotive industry.
oh so you aspire to be an asshole?
No, because I follow the road rules and just happen to prefer that car. It wouldn't surprise me if that study were conducted here that Holden VS/VY/VE/VF drivers would be the worst offenders. The car doesn't make you an asshole -- being an asshole driver makes you one.

The problem is that a lot of other cars also tick those boxes. [editline]28th March 2016[/editline]
No, because I follow the road rules and just happen to prefer that car.
