Australia has a lot of the dangerous creatures
:byodood:
Australia is off of the vacation list.
Fuck that shit, im not going to Australia.
The spiders in autsralia are so big that they have health bars above them I remember this video, and it changed my mind about moving to australia.
Oh fuck they can break through a TOENAIL? :suicide:
Couldn't they just ban them?
Ive lived in Sydney Australia all my life and I can say I've never seen this spider. (apparently its on the other side of the harbor bridge only) My aunt had one drop right down on her head from the roof and she didn't know it was there till her husband walked in and all hell broke lose. [editline]02:51PM[/editline]
Couldn't they just ban them?
Its not like people bring them in through the airport.
Couldn't they just ban them?
Yeah they should go to the Toe-stabbing spider industry and ask them to stop producing them hu- Really, are you dense or something? ... Oh, the JOKE...
Yeah they should go to the Toe-stabbing spider industry and ask them to stop producing them hu- Really, are you dense or something?
No I think that was the joke....

Australia a.k.a The Capital Wasteland
I put my feet out from under my desk.
I am not usually bothered by spiders as I am by those spiders. So yes, fuck that shit.
Jesus what the fuck, thanks for giving me another reason not to go to australia :ohdear:
How could any one not see that?
god I fucking hate spiders, now I'm NEVER going to australia.
I live in Sydney. Those spiders seriously fuck you up. My mate used to get them in his pool as they can hold air in between their hairs and can survive underwater for long periods of time. [editline]04:08PM[/editline] Don't worry guys. They aren't that common. The Red-Back is a lot more common though and smaller. I once had one on my arm and shat bricks before I swiped it off.
Just where do they get the video footage of those spiders biting toes :raise:
Just where do they get the video footage of those spiders biting toes :raise:
Fake feet, they most likely tempted it to bite it.
I live in Australia and have never seen a Funnel Web Spider ever, apart from in the zoo. They are usually driven out by industrial waste from houses and local councils putting down deterrent chemicals.

I don't know what you guys in Australia are talking about? You've never seen these? Just last week when I was riding my kangaroo to work, I got a call from my mate in hospital, saying he was washing his pet wombat when 3 of these little guys bit into his feet. It's like the 15th or so incident I've heard of. They're actually pretty common all around Australia. Australians have actually developed an immunity to the poison so they aren't much of a trouble for us, but tourists still die quickly.
A friend of mine once watched over someone's house way in the outback and there was one of these things crawling around the whole time she was there alone. It turns out it always lives there and just kills bugs and rats and stuff for them. Crazy shit.

Australia has some of the worst spiders. makes me glad the worst we get here are Giant House Spiders. They are completely harmless, but they are scary as shit and run incredibly fast. The firs tone I ever saw was during elementary school, it was comically large, and was just sitting in our gym while out teacher was giving us a P.E lecture. It was so big, and wasn't moving, so we thought it was just one of those big plastic toy spiders. My freind went over and tried to pick it up, and the thing flipped the fuck out and jolted up his arm, he screamed and started flailing, and the thing took off to the corner of the gym and hid under a bench. These things move really fast when they want to.
