North Korea has test-fired two more short-range missiles into the sea off its east coast, South Korean defence ministry officials say, amid ongoing South Korea-US military exercises.
Officials in Seoul said the missiles flew more than 500km (300 miles).
Pyongyang also test-fired four similar missiles late last week.
North Korea often carries out short-range missiles tests to show its anger at military exercises involving its southern neighbour.
South Korea and the US began the annual joint exercises on 24 February. The drills, which involve thousands of troops, continue until the middle of April.
Pyongyang is opposed to the drills and has previously called them "exercises of war".
South Korean officials said that the missiles, launched early on Monday morning, were Scud-C models. They have the range to hit any target in South Korea.
A spokesman called on the North to "immediately stop provocative acts".
Last year North Korea reacted furiously to the annual military exercises, which came shortly after Pyongyang conducted its third nuclear test, prompting the expansion of existing UN sanctions.
This year, however, ties between the two Koreas have warmed somewhat. Earlier this month, they held reunions for families separated by the division of the Korean peninsula for the first time since 2010.

Not now Korea. There is more important things happening right now.
If this is North Korea's annual attempt at being relevant they couldn't have picked a worse time.
I know we often find it funny when NK does things like this, but this might actually be something relevant this time. If the Western world goes to war with Russia, NK and China will probably jump in as well.
This entire fiasco seems like the world gearing up for WWIII.

Not that NK actually means anything, but there is potential, and it's not a good idea to ignore a country that actively hates everyone.

China has too much to lose if they joined in, their military could certainly do damage; but I think the US simply has better tech than China.
Is it cake time for Kimmy already?

chinas fighting force is like israels, specialised in defense not offense. China has no ability to project power into the Russian v everyone conflict also their forces are woefully undertrained and under disciplined, they are mostly for show

If that happened, NK would probably have the same role that Italy had in WWII. I don't think we have much to worry about in NK's case.

China and NK have nothing to gain from taking any side in this conflict.
They've already done this several times recently, why is this getting news?

How come I didn't hear any news about the last four? :v:

If WW3 was to happen, NK would be squashed instantly, their military is still literally soviet equipment which is okay but doesn't compare to what everyone else in the world has

China+Russia+NK
I could see it happening.

I wouldn't put it past any of them, it would be a big chance for all of them, and the rest of the enemies USA/NATO has, I'm not saying it would happen though.
Fuck al this "think about waht would happen" shit,

I like this part so much.

Assuming nothing changes and there is some sort of WWIII that politically unites only the western world; maybe.
But Russia invading the Ukraine isn't going to be what lights that flame.
NK can't stand how much attention Ukraine is getting
If world war 3 broke out, who do you think the sides would be?
Holy shit the title got me worried.
North Korea are kind of like that rock band you used to like that lost its singer and lead guitarist but still make records and think that they're anything like as good as their first album.

The Ukraine is dubstep.

Wont happen, NATO, EU, and US would sort it out diplomatically.

good thing I said "if" as in hypothetical and not a realistic question.

The Allies and the Axis?
