There's more cop cars on the road than fire trucks and ambulances.
if you're fucked up in a car wreck, or you go into cardiac arrest, there's a good chances they're going to be the first ones there to start working on you.
As in this video, you can see 3 cops manages to beat EMS to the scene.
Give them some credit.

I entirely agree with giving them some credit, but it's been a long time since i've seen police do this kind of thing. All i'm saying is that police doing this kind of thing are rare. I did not mean to offend you or anyone else

The reason you only hear about bad cops is because the media doesn't care about cops just doing their jobs. Nobody wants to hear about a cop pulling a man over and giving him a ticket.

There are 900000 police officers in the United States. They prevent crimes, they solve crime cases, they put bad guys in jail and they make the streets safe. You need the news to write about that before you think the police are doing things?

Take into consideration that this sort of thing is their job, and they're rarely put on to TV for it because they do it on a day-to-day basis. An accountant isn't going to make the news for doing an extra good job on setting up a spread sheet.

That's just it.
When you watch the news you hear about all the bad things cops do.
I never hear about how a cop saved someones life, all I hear about is the things the do that are wrong. That's what is wrong with the news today, they focus on the bad and not the good. This makes people like Sir Spicy Buns think that a cop doing something good is a rarity.
