Well at least the first part of the tournament, we know, will be pretty kickin' rad. On commentary we have Frank Shamrock, Pat Miletich, and MaURo DoMenICO ANtoniO RanaLLo (get it, just like he speaks? amirite? amirite?). Looks like Stephen "the vampire/clown/fire your makeup artist" Quadros is officially done with Strikeforce. Anyways, who cares about Strikeforce's commentary, let's get on to the fights. Main Card Heavyweight quarterfinal: Fedor vs Bigfoot Silva Heavyweight quarterfinal: Andre "glass chin" Arlovski vs Sergei Kharitonov Heavyweight tournament reserve bouts (in case shit inevitably happens to Josh Barnett or in case Arlovski dies in the cage)- Chad Griggs vs Gianpiero Villante Valentijn Overeem vs Ray Sefo Shane Del Rosario vs Lavar Johnson Preliminnever mind, we'll never see them anyways So what do you think? Despite the problems of virtually every Strikeforce event (goofy commentating, something always going wrong technically, in-ring disasters, making fighters who just lost horribly do a post fight interview, and letting people who don't speak english speak for far too long), this should be a very fun night of fights. Strikeforce has a gem with this heavyweight tournament, but the only problem is that it will totally be jinxed. Luckily they're already thinking ahead with the reserve bouts, but let me tell you, I'd be disappointed if the final round was Chad Griggs vs Overeem to determine who the top dog in the heavyweight division is. I got- Fedor Kharitonov Othereem Griggs Johnson
Oh man how can you go for fat othereem? Sefo is the man! Im a bit pissed ubereem isn't in this tourney, that would've been sick. Also yeah, Strikeforce is in desperate need of better production value. I hate to say it, but one of the reasons you can stand to watch the UFC even when they have shit fights (which is actually like every 2nd card) is the production value is top dollar and the setup is slick.

So fear not, our horse eating champion hasn't left us. I think he goes against Werdum. Sefo is awesome but I think he is more suited for the K1 scene, although he hasn't lost in MMA yet. I don't know, it's a tough pick
Wish they showed SF live in the UK. Not stopping up until 3AM to watch a stream =/
K, I took your advice on Sefo, I just hope it doesn't go to the ground. I made a 3 way parle on Fedor, Sergei, and Shane and then a $5 bet on Sefo my gambling addiction

Here's a stream for all of us who don't get Superchannel (Canada) or Showtime http://vip-entertainment.yolasite.com/vip-tv-1.php
anyone watching this? Chad Griggs fight was sick
the Lavar vs Shane fight was goodun as well. [editline]13th February 2011[/editline] typical strikeforce technical issues
i have 2 streams open, the other one showed the right screen [editline]12th February 2011[/editline] dam Arlovski looked like he was dead
let's give it up for....... ...... the russian gus johnson looks like a tranny
Goddamn it, showtime won't show it until 10 while you guys are watching the live stream. The HD better be worth it.
gus johnson is wearing lipstick lol WAR FEDOR [editline]12th February 2011[/editline] Fuck my life
fucking shit, lost my parle because of Silva. Of all people.
Was hoping Fedor won, was a good fight
Jesus Christ, Silva is a fucking monster.
So, Silva won? I turned off the stream and crawled into a corner after my hero was knocked out.
So, Silva won? I turned off the stream and crawled into a corner after my hero was knocked out.
you think you'd be used to Arlovski getting KO'd by now [editline]13th February 2011[/editline] hey guys I found a picture of Gus Johnson
Someone was surprised AA was KO'd ? lol Bigfoot was fucking amazing, Made Fedor look amateur. Better in the stand up, Much better on the mat.
Fedor said he may quit. Holy fucking shit. Maybe if Fedor gained some more weight, he could have been good against silva.
The Size difference wasn't the deciding factor in the fight. He'd have done better, but Silva was faster, more accurate, stronger and more skilled.
I hope I get to see Arlovski in the octagon at least one more time.
I hope I get to see Arlovski in the octagon at least one more time.
Why? I don't think his head can take anymore. He was fighting pretty well until that right hand landed on him. Then, when sergei did those last 3 shots, he was completely out for a while. With a 4 straight loss streak, I doubt it will happen. He is past his prime just like Fedor. I just can't believed what happened yesterday. It was a great event, no judges decisions and nice knockouts and subs, but a sad day in history.
The Size difference wasn't the deciding factor in the fight. He came in at 280-290 (some people are rumoring 300). I mean he was able to beat people like Zulu or Hong-man-choi, but Bigfoot is a world class BJJ specialist with some decent wrestling. Not taking anything away from Silva, he's a nasty motherfucker. Someone that big who has good striking and a great ground game will always be a contender in the HW division. He's like Gonzaga if Gonzaga didn't go full retard.

Maybe I'll get to watch him try out boxing or something.

Brett Rogers got him down but couldn't control him because he's got none of the skill Silva has. Zulu and HMC were free fights for Fedor, it's impressive when a small man beats a big man, but not when the big man is a punching bag.
