South Park: The Stick of Truth uncensored by users in unofficial PC patch
Much like Left 4 Dead 2, Australian PC gamers have quickly and effortlessly found a way around the Classification Board’s restrictions on South Park: The Stick of Truth.
A user-made patch, available to download here, removes all of the censorship and allows players to experience the full… er, majesty, of uncensored anal probing scenes and other things that were deemed not to fit within an R18+ classification.
I haven’t tried it personally, but if the 50+ comments are anything to go by, it apparently works perfectly and is being very well received.
This is pretty awesome even though it doesn't affect me. The game is really fun so it has to kinda suck to have chunks of it censored like that.
TBH that image and caption they have is pretty hilarious in itself.
I hope they don't mark it Unratable now
I find the koala crying image quite scary actually
I wonder if the devs intentionally left it easy to patch.

Probably, since Trey and Matt did speak out against censorship.

I wouldn't doubt it. Who would want their game to be censored?
Games that are being censored and unable to fulfill their image of what they originally wanted because a soccer mom that bought their 12 year old an 18+ game is going to get butthurt.
At least they didn't totally remove the mission all together, I mean that's what most people would do because it's less time consuming, at least Matt and Trey made sure people were still getting the full experience despite the censorship
Tho it seems odd to why EU was censored on consoles, since PEGI accommodates for you guys
So do these guys censor only games, or do they also censor your books too?

Because developers decided to. No one asked them.

Just games. Books, movies and TV shows aren't subject to harsh treatment games receive, at 9pm you're most likely to find SBS playing some euro porn film or some show with vulgar language and nudity and they'll get away with it, same goes for the other broadcasters
I'm not joking either
[editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
And on Foxtel, same shit, but they can show literally anything and aren't subject to standard regulations, they're not required to have Australian content on them (but most choose to do it anyway) and they have no safe time limits because all boxes have adequate child locks on them
Dude, it's 2014. Why is anyone in the developed world censoring video games, or anything for that matter?

Because think of the CHILDREN!
THE CHILDREN!
Censoring a south park game negates the entire point of south park
It'd be like the office without Steve Carell

I didn't think it was that bad till I saw it.

Now give me back my Hackenkreuz
I kinda want an option to hear the bleeps as well. I don't know why but i'm too used to it.
