I was posting in fast threads last Wednesday. Kinda told I was trying to lose some weight since I had a bad eating habit and I got the tip to try and post here.
To make a long story short: I am 6 foot 3 and last wednesday I weighted 205.91 pounds (93,4 kilo). I am not fat at all but I had a pretty horrible eating habit in which I consumed 3 bottles of Coca-Cola and a shitload of bread with molten cheese. Not that it is horrible to have that kind of weight but I was somewhat 154.32 pounds (70 kilo) a few years ago. After I stopped playing soccer my body went down the drain.
So now I stopped drinking any type of soda and decided to replace that with water/tea/fruit drinks. And I also replaced all of my snacks with just normal lunches.
This is kinda working out for me because now I weight 196.87 pounds (89,3 kilo). Last year I ran about 5 miles 3 times per week but I stopped due to motivational problems and I was thinking about picking it up again.
Now my question to you guys, do you have any tips in how to improve the lifestyle I am trying to follow right now?
Good thing you stopped drinking soda. Soda is just wasted, empty fucking calories. Only positive to it is that it tastes good.
Key to weight loss is consistency. It's best to get in to a routine, eating a similar diet daily, and getting workouts in on the same days and working for gradual progression. Like with your running you can't just keep running 5 miles you need to work at increasing your mileage, along with trying to get faster.
You could also look in to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Workouts will probably be shorter than your running stints, but much more intense, hence the name. There are plenty of interval routines that work just fine, so it really comes down to preference.
You're on the right track, all there is to know about losing weight really is eat less calories than you burn

I have a need to point out that while soda isnt, healthy it does have its uses. The caffeine and high sugar content make it a pretty good pre-work out and study aid.
Just gotta keep it in moderation.
Mkay but you can get sugar from like bananas and shit. fuark caffeine.
Hell I don't completely stay away from soda either, but I wouldn't even say I drink it once a week. It's like once a month for me. Water errday.
if you want to lose weight, get into a seasonal depression like me because fuck winter
ate probably like 4000 calories in total over the past week and I've lost 10 pounds in like 2 fucking weeks, rip gains, haven't properly worked out in a few weeks too because of hectic schedule due to holidays, lots of drinking, seasonal depression and social problems~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My lifting and diet have being going to shit too, haven't made gains in the last 2 weeks
havent made gains in the past few months, maintaining yo
The most important thing to do is lift consistently; even if your diet is still shitty, you'll at least be getting stronger, making noob gains, and burning more calories.
So, a few weeks have been passed and I must say my weight has had it's swings the last weeks.
I even had periods that my weight was under 196 pounds. And I finally found the courage to go out and run again. I even made a special schedule to keep track of my weight and track record.
