It’s garnished by a broad swathe of bittersweet quotes from the development team. Here’s the initial announcement: “APB has been a fantastic journey, but unfortunately that journey has come to a premature end. Today we are sad to announce that despite everyone’s best efforts to keep the service running; APB is coming to a close. It’s been a pleasure working on APB and with all its players. Together we were building an absolutely amazing game, and for that, we thank you. You guys are awesome! From all of the Realtime World staff we thank you for your continued support. The servers are still up, so join the party and say goodbye! - Ben ‘APBMonkey’ Bateman (Community Officer)”
I feel so bad for the people that thought APB would be such an amazing game and pre-ordered it.
Haha wow Glad as fuck I had no interest in it
APB already killed itself? What the fuck?
Well, that was fast.
APB already killed itself? What the fuck?
Real Time Worlds killed itself, although APB did it no favours with it's stupid budget. Just another Tabula Rasa.
Real Time Worlds killed itself, although APB did it no favours with it's stupid budget. Just another Tabula Rasa.
What happened to that game?
Wow I wanted this game too, good thing I didn't buy shit.
I feel fucking bad for the people who buy a game, constantly pay for it by the month, then suddenly become unable to play it again.
What happened to that game?
It died.
played the beta and it was shit glad they are shutting it down
For reference, the open beta lasted about as long, if not longer, than the actual game after release.
Never played it, just saw laggy footage.
This game had so much potential.
Haha wow Glad as fuck I had no interest in it
word, I always wanted to buy it now, im glad i didnt hahaha, so much money down the drain.
Holy shit, like 4 months
That's a shame, it sounded like it could have been an awesome game if they spent a little more time on it. Oh wells.
Feel strange that one of the biggest budgeted games of all time (70million), is just going to vanish into thin air. I'll feel bad for anyone who picks this up retail, because it does look like a very promising game out of the box.
i can't even laugh at this
It has already been removed off of the Steam store page, what the hell is going to happen to the people that purchased it?
Holy shit, if I bought this I would be SO pissed.
It was way too ambitious. I'm not surprised, for this sole reason.
Too bad they won't release server. Community could fix it and make it a better game.
Too bad they won't release server. Community could fix it and make it a better game.
That would be the right for them to do.
It has already been removed off of the Steam store page, what the hell is going to happen to the people that purchased it?
I guess they are just going to have to: :frogc00l: with it.
All points bulletin had a fucking amazing customization system. Other then that the game sucked
If a game spontaneously gets shut down after 3 months I think there's a lot of people that deserve a refund. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was after a year or two but 3 months. I don't even own it and that just pisses me off.
Who do they think they are Cryptic Studios
haha oh wow did it really do that bad
wait what the fuck
lol.
