• N. Korea Butthurt over S. Korean Military Drill - Threatens to use Spud Guns on Seoul
North Korea's military threatened Saturday that it will take "merciless" action against South Korea unless Seoul offers an apology for its alleged move to hurt the dignity of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. North Korea also demanded South Korea publicly execute those who plotted a plan to strike at the North Korean leadership, claiming that it is the last opportunity for Cheong Wa Dae, South Korea's presidential office, to avoid retaliatory fire. Pyongyang has accused South Korea of staging a drill on Monday of what it claims was a plan to destroy Kim's office with 16 fighter bombers carrying guided air-to-surface missiles. South Korea has confirmed its Air Force conducted a large-scale air raid drill against a simulated key North Korean facility, though it did not give details. If South Korea does "not respond to the ultimatum of the KPA, the long-range artillery force of the KPA large combined unit on the front will move over to merciless military action," the North's long-range artillery force said in an English-language ultimatum, referring to the North Korean military's official name. The ultimatum carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency also warned that the South Korean presidential office and other key sites will "turn into ashes in a moment" if its military simply pushes buttons.
Korea Times Also N. Korea supposedly performed it's largest military drill ever a day or two ago: [t]http://pbs.twimg.com/media/CeYwb0mWsAAlgFv.jpg[/t] Photoshop ahoy? Legitimate threat? Who the fuck knows. North Korea probably will not do a damn thing once their "ultimatum" is up.
Do they know that we know they are bluffing? They should already know that compared to western, and far eastern powers they wouldn't last more than a few months. Their allies are getting fed up with their bullshit as well.
This beach party looks gnarly
Fucking do it NK. Do it! JUST FUCKING DO IT! You won't. Because you know what will happen when you do. Once you attack Seoul there is NOTHING stopping the rest of the world from collectively drop kicking your ass to the curb. My question to Seoul is how the fuck do you put up with such an obnoxious neighbor?

We should have a ban on threads like this until the Norks actually attack.
If anything does happen, it will be a shitshow for everyone involved.
I would certainly rather no bloodshed as opposed to any at all but what else are you supposed to do with such a shitbag? Especially if, hypothetically speaking, he finally does do something everyone might regret? I feel bad for Seoul because they're the ones who have to put up with Kim's retarded ass.
Look at all those guns lined up in formation for a carpet bombing
Look at all those guns lined up in formation for a carpet bombing
Given their location, the tide might get them as Poseidon finally strikes back against years of unwarranted NK aggression.

North korea, as a nation, has brainwashed its citizens, it will not be easy bringing them up to speed with the rest of the world
yes, we are all very aware we can blow up up jim kong un in 300 seconds. but then what? North korea, as a nation, has brainwashed its citizens, it will not be easy bringing them up to speed with the rest of the world
We'll eventually have to do it. It's the sad and cruel truth... We'll need to eventually take control of the North Korean's country, occupy it, and try to bring the population up to speed with the rest of the world. I suspect if we show "miracles" like turning on the power to the entire nation and keeping it on would probably cause them some shock. Hell, I'd imagine actually playing non-propaganda on their televisions would most likely cause some great deal of shock. The greatest tool in our arsenal is to bring them into the fold is through unprecedented freedom which they have never had a chance to experience. Think about how you would feel if you suddenly had access to 100 channels on television, with cartoons that not politically aligned. Imagine how children who have grown up with those creepy as fuck cartoons, suddenly had access to Adventure Time with North Korean subtitles. What we could do is bring in hundreds of computers and set up internet cafes around the country, in which North Koreans will be allowed to go online and just talk about stuff. Most of them would probably just start doing what everyone else is doing or maybe even start seeing stories on the news from South Korea about all the fucked up shit being found by the occupation government in North Korea. That's another thing... No restraint on what you show to media. I seriously mean this with everything in my fucking heart. No restraint. If we come across concentration camps with mass burial pits, send that across the world. If we come across survivors of the camps, bring them into sessions where they can communicate what has happened to them, and what they have seen. This needs to be done in order to try and show the North Korean people that the previous regime was nothing but monsters, and supporting said monsters when the rest of the world is far more peaceful and happy, would be insane. It'll be a campaign of psychological evaluation and therapy. It'll take a great deal of time, money, and otherwise in order to make an occupation government successful in bringing North Korea into modern times. We'd seriously need to pull a Japanese Economic Miracle in North Korea in order to try and bring it up to a point where it could even be considered to reunite the country. Even then though, I wholly suspect that North Koreans will most likely vote to have a separate parliament for voting on their own issues... Sorta like how the United Kingdom works at the moment. All I can say, is it'll be a long, long road.
North Korea also demanded South Korea publicly execute those who plotted a plan to strike at the North Korean leadership, claiming that it is the last opportunity for Cheong Wa Dae, South Korea's presidential office, to avoid retaliatory fire.
hahahahaha no
Having spent 6 months in Seoul right as Kim Jong Un came to power and all the media was fear mongering over it literally no one in Seoul gave a shit. Everything just went on as normal. The did put up signs over the subways saying they double as bomb shelters. In English with no Korean.
An A-10 pilot's wet dream
The most glorious of all gun-runs.
why is there a person like this in every NK thread its always an american too
Would you like to tell me what your solution is in the case Kim does go batshit on Seoul? Writing him a strongly worded letter? How about you show me why my opinion is so bad? You know, educate.
Would you like to tell me what your solution is in the case Kim does go batshit on Seoul? Writing him a strongly worded letter?
it has less to do with any of that and more to do with the total immaturity of the post
I don't exactly understand what was wrong with my post. I already outlined that I would like to avoid bloodshed but it seems that won't be possible since the only way the world would act upon North Korea is if they fired upon Seoul. That or you know, Kim suddenly became sane and stopped being such a dickhead. Which do you think is more likely? I personally think it's only a matter of time before Kim actually follows through with one of his threats. Is it too much to want that potential problem resolved before it becomes an actual problem? I'm all for a peaceful solution but Kim doesn't seem to be the kind of person interested in peace. I doubt he'd talk the absolute mountains of shit he does if he were.
"Surrender now and you will be fed, clothed, and relocated to better living conditions"
~24 million people with varying amounts of loyalty to Kim Jong Un Yeah I'm sure its that easy
The unfortunate thing about North Korea is that it's just gonna have to go one day. They'll either collapse on their own or have to be brought down violently, and in either case, it's going to be a major shitstorm with probably a ton of people ending up dead. The biggest thing I worry about with North Korea is that they'll finally get themselves in to a position where we can't remove them by force.

If NK attacked SK, the international community's response would be more sanctions and an angry letter, just like when they've done it in the past. Just last year Russia fucking invaded Ukraine and is still occupying their territory, and nobody did jack shit. If they can get away with that, NK can get away with firing artillery across the border.

Alternatively if China decided to invade North Korea, I don't really think the US would do much to stop it

south korea should shop back with 80s laser guns
I don't expect anything to happen. NK has been making threats like these since they first became NK.

If it ever came to that it would be War, Not only with South Korea but the United States. Many of our allies would very likely get involved as well.
