A very well shot video of the awe inspiring Antonov 225 taking off from an airport

Its amazing it can even move, let alone fly
Man, that thing is barely scraping against the ground. I don't think that thing would have an easy time landing in a crosswind.
i want to see it land now
It looks like it's having a difficult time taking off... or moving at all for that matter.

redundancy is good

nowadays its just leased out to haul cargo... it once hauled a 189 ton gas turbine generator

I think in this case it's especially important to emphasize that it is indeed flying

crawling through the air almost. especially at takeoff, looks like its just floating

I remember why I said "flying aircraft"!
The Spruce Goose actually had a larger wingspan, but never left ground effect. It kinda flew, but just barely.

I love how it's tail fins are practically the wingspan of a normal passenger plane.
Okay, I'm glad people are getting serious with the sizes of these planes.
I mean, pft, at some point we're gonna have to have a plane thousand times the size as this, docking on a planet.
I still have doubts about practicality and stability of something that huge.
This is boring, even the name Antonov sounds like an old fart's name.
Say hello to the new and exciting side of the future:
Future aircraft could be built using a bionic structure that mimics the bone structure of birds. Bone is both light and strong because its porous interior carries tension only where necessary, leaving space elsewhere. By using bionic structures, the fuselage has the strength it needs, but can also make the most of extra space where required. This not only reduces the aircraft's weight and fuel burn, but also makes it possible to add features like oversized doors for easier boarding and panoramic windows.

My house is under the flightpath for this thing
You have no idea how loud this thing is at 3AM when I'm trying to sleep.
They take off with little runway left. Manchester airports runways are long, but they are only just long enough for the antonov 225 and airbus a380
It had a hard time taking off because every unused crevice was crammed with drugs/guns/money which weighed the plane down
