Die Antwoord? what the
So fucking hyped for this. I knew that Ninja and Yolandi were offered to be in D9 so I'm so excited to see them in one of his films finally especially to have a major role it seems.
I hope it's more of a character exploration than an actiony blockbuster because Elysium demonstrated Blomkamp's clearly better at the former

It looks like it could work really well.
Man, even with all the humor thing it will supossedly have i think i will end up crying more than when i watched district 9 or iron giant, ugh
Looks like Chappie starts to hang out with the wrong crowd.
zef 2 fukken def
ZEF-BOT, BLOD
casting says sigourney weaver is in this too cool
I like how all the designs tie in his universe, those robots are straight up Elysium.
Welp, I'm 99.9% sure this will end with Chappie dying. I'm probably gonna cry like a sucker..

Man I watched this and all I though was Short Circuit 3: Death to all who be(In South Africa)
As it turns out they were complete pieces of shit on set and the entire production staff hates them.
Have you seen Ninja? Dude looks like the entire cast of Jersey Shore fused with a retirement home, and a rehab clinic.
lets hope none of die antwoods music is in it

This is either sourceless bullshit or a big joke put out by Neil and DA. Baring in mind the way DA look and act are just a face, not how they really are. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline]
lets hope none of die antwoods music is in it
Yes because we all clearly dislike DA's music. People couldn't possibly enjoy different things and have different tastes in music.
Yah, if you actually watched a real interview with DA, they are just normal but interesting artists. They are aware how they act.

If there was random unfitting heavy death metal it would be the same thing. I guess I'm biased though because I might not see this movie just because of Yolandi and her voice.

Just impeccable. [sp]Honestly, if you can't enjoy watching a movie with Ninja & Yolandi teaching a robot how to live, your sense of humor probably sucks.[/sp]

It's an urban movie and DA is just that. It wouldn't be an issue if they threw it in the background somewhere along the way.

So basically Short Circuit (2014)
After Elysium I am extremely cautious. I am thinking District 9 was almost a fluke. I mean Neil Blomkamp has awesome sci-fi story concepts brought straight out of the 70s era, and has amazing fucking artists to make it have a modern realistic edge. I am just not so confident on his skills to make a really good movie anymore. The problem with Elysium wasn't a big budget. It was disorganization.
What was wrong with Elysium?
What was wrong with Elysium?
It was a bad movie.

Also he's not making the film as if it were a video game, which he himself admitted is what he did with Elysium.
Story was bog-standard and a thinly veiled attempt at cyberpunk. When really he just rolled with cliches and took a bunch of cyberpunk visuals hoping to rope in a crowd. That and Sharlto absolutely chewed the scenery whilst Damon just felt boring.
Zombies are out. Superheroes have settled again. Robots are in.
