First time using max, did the glowey shit in PS. Didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it to, but to be honest I don't really care haha.
You should have saved it as a .png
The filesize is half that of what a png version would be with no quality increase at all (the quality is set to 100% on the jpg). So no, I shouldn't have saved it as a png.
I'm not really a fan of the fire, it looks too simple.
I don't really like the fire, but everything else is really good.
A bit too simplistic for my taste. Just text, and bad looking fire. I suggest FumeFX. :downs:
For a first image with Max it's pretty good. :)

Simplistic was the goal from the get go, busy wallpapers look terrible.
I didn't want to do the glowy bit in max (it's not intended to be fire, it's just light, I wouldn't have made it out of soft circles if it was fire haha)
As I said in the OP though the glow didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, so I'll probably revisit it once I have my tablet with me.

Haha oh wow. Yeah, I know, that art work sucked. Although it's a tad out dated, I still think the same about it. I just never use DeviantArt any more, and never removed crap works. :v:
