President Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. said on Saturday that the release of the GOP memo alledging surveillance at the Department of Justice (DOJ) serves as revenge for him and his family by holding FBI officials accountable.
"There is a little bit of sweet revenge in it for me and certainly probably the family in a sense that if they wouldn't have done this, this stuff would be going on. This would be going on at the highest levels of government," Trump Jr. said on the Fox News Channel referring to the allegations in the memo. "They'd be continuing doing it to my father, trying to undermine his actions."
Trump Jr. went on to say he wanted the probe into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling to come to an end soon.
"Come to a conclusion already because you've been looking for two years, you've come up with nothing other than their own nefarious actions and their own collusions," he said.

:hammered: :goodjob:
Does his statement matter in a legal sense?
are they reading a different memo? this thing is objectively false and misleading and is about as well sourced as an 8th grader's report and yet somehow every republican stooge is jumping up and down in joy
[editline]4th February 2018[/editline]

the strategy is "just keep screaming 'WE WON' until people believe us"
and that's going to work for about 40% of the population
So Jr. basically admits that the memo had malicious intent.
Wow, I didn't know being a fucking moron was genetic.
The apple does not fall far from the tree.
Holy crap, what an asshole.

Not really? Read his statement again.

Apparently 'ongoing investigation' equates to 'no evidence of wrongdoing' in the Trump Family.

Four criminal indictments, several more almost certainly in the works, and Republicans are somehow buying the lie that, "they've found nothing!"
Also, where's this shit about the investigation having been going for two years coming from? The criminal investigation into Trump and his co-conspirators began with Mueller's appointment in May of 2017. It's been going for less than a year, excepting the people who were already under investigation. For there to have already been four major criminal indictments of core members of Trump's campaign and administration is... Significant. Mueller's team has the pedal to the metal on this.
I remember when I thought Eric was the dumb one.
So Paul Ryan is going to investigate whether Nunes was acting as a Trump surrogate while chairman of the House Intel Committee right?
Using the current Republican logic, if Nunes issued the memo and withheld pertinent information because of his political motivations, that constitutes an abuse of power that must be dealt with.
Trump Jr. calling the memo revenge certainly adds to my suspicions of Nunes acting improperly.

Oh yeah, nothing.
Nothing except a few successful indictments and you yourself posting on twitter that Russians offered you dirt on Clinton and you responded "I love it".
Anyone who falls for this shit has a memory shorter than a goldfish.
Also, this is just further confirmation that the sole purpose of this propagandist BS was to besmirch the credibility of the investigative body looking into his and his family's crimes. It was an attack, a smear piece, a dishonest lie to the American people, and a blatant act of obstruction against the good people charged with protecting our country from people like him.

Revenge. Not justice, or anything admirable like that. Just petty revenge.
